I'm cross-posting this from the Dick Dale thread. Because these surf covers from a Japanese band I like, feature vintage, sinigle pickup, non-reverse thunderbirds on bass duty:

View attachment 3359816 soooo....I'm pretty damn excited right now. The VP has arrived and she looks, sounds and plays fantastic!! Thank you to all those on here that provided guidance to steer me to her. Feels like I need a name for her.
With the addition of the VP and an official baby flock can I get my number?
Pretty sure I am taking the rest of the day off from work![]()
Nice! Love those Malbecs...This was the best i could do for St. Patty's day.

Those burgers would have been perfect with the above.
I had to drill my '91 Gibson to make hipshots work. Plus, the configuration of tuners changed sometime or another, which means the '91 tuners were different and the set screw, for lack of a better term, that goes through the tuner and into the meat of the headstock was in a different location. The good news is that once you start drilling holes in a Gibson, you are set free and can do anything! That bass is off for paint. Which reminds me, I should send him an email and see how things are going. I might even get around to doing that by the end of the week....3/8“ might work better, mini clovers out of stock...

As I discovered. Mine no longer has those. Actually, it has them in the case, if I'm not mistaken. What it has on the headstock are Hipshots with chrome clovers....the 91s have Gibson branded Schaller M4 tuners...smaller than 3/8“

Yep, gonna be invaded by the scariest monsters that are defeated by stairs*

*yes, I know that they can now fly - the result of talentless hacks taking the shortcut to Denoument.
Originally something like five weeks. I expect it will be about double that. I'm hoping to get it back in April sometime, but if it's May and it turns out well, then that's good too. What was the projected time frame for the refin to be done? Nitro is not easy to do. It'll be worth the wait.
There's very little music which is truly unlistenable.
If you're feeling adventurous, we suggest running through the streets of your locale in a grass skirt while yelling "Thunderbirds Rule" at the top of your lungs.
Ok, seriously, you don't *have* to do that.
Jazz?Try listening to what I'm playing. Some might balk at the "music" label. But that a result of "lack of talent", not "excess of avant-garde".
Are you suggesting the same talentless hacks wrote both or are you suggesting that there is a surfeit of talentless hacks? I am more prone to believe that latter, but I also don't think that the two are mutually exclusive.Did that happen before or after we found out R2D2 could fly... and wondered why the heck he didn't in the original trilogy?
Yeah, let's go with that...Jazz?
If anybody is looking for a 2015, there's one on Reverb for what I would consider a really good price for a '15.
2015 Gibson Thunderbird IV Bass Vintage Sunburst
I wasn’t suggesting either. I am merely curious and bitter. Are you suggesting the same talentless hacks wrote both or are you suggesting that there is a surfeit of talentless hacks? I am more prone to believe that latter, but I also don't think that the two are mutually exclusive.
