I don't know what they're the same as, if they're in another bird or not, but the pup's in my 2013 Classic are killin it.

Ok right... they seem like they could pull off a tighter version of the Felix Pappalardi tone, which I like.

My spare is a naked frame but the coils under it are epoxied together, it may have been rewound.
Here's one that's in my '77, fully encased. The twin coils occupy about one third of the metal can, they're that rectangle in the center. The coil assembly would just about fit in a Jazz pickup cover. Dimensions are approximately 5/8" X 5/8" X 3".
