I can dig that attitude. String it, play it. Play it some more.
I saw what you did there. 4 more times...
But, i could just be projecting here now......

It's really great. Here's another one with great playing.
Huh?I saw what you did there. 4 more times...

The round things at the end of bass strings. Remove one from an old string and slide it down to the ball end on your new string as a spacer.Ball ends?
Yep! It helps to have a High Pass Filter and some EQ versatility on your amp.No kidding! Amplified upright is a never ending quest to fix whatever it is that doesn't sound right at any given moment. And it changes all the time.
Nice Judas Priest reference! Some of us are living in the past. Others are living after midnight.
No clue. I love it. My dream is for my daughter to get back into the flute and the two of us play it with my brother on guitar. I used to know how to play it; shouldn’t take too long to relearn it.dude!...what's up with the schmoe on maracas?....lol..
New red Thunderbird! Actually came in yesterday. Rotosound 66 LF installed on 6/6
Fingerboard *needed* conditioning badly. Quick application of dunlop conditioner seems to have done the trick.
Really digging this. All dials up full except the bridge volume just ever so slightly back from the 10 gives a noticeable bump in the output.
Got the relief just about good, going to see if the new strings pull it back. Gotta get the bridge sorted out but the babicz is a big improvement over the tripod.
Feeling good about this one.

I didn't want your beautiful new Thunderbird to get lost here today, first congratulation on it - Very pretty!
Glad you're liking the Babciz bridge as well, may I offer you a club number? We're obviously a chatty bunch, but we love to help out and always enjoy hearing from new owners.
You found the magic combo! At least for a bunch of us here. Neck on full and bridge rolled off a little. Thanks for the welcome! I'll be happy to take one.
Right now I'm just trying to figure out what I like sound wise. I'm normally a "full up on the controls" as far as the instrument goes but that faint little tiny bridge volume roll back brings the boom I was hoping for. Always open to suggestions, and I'm a total idiot when it comes to EQ so anything on that front would help me and probably a lot of other folks too.
Love your pics by the way - always fun to see someone rocking out.
Huh. Thain was from NZ. Not surprising giving how clueless record company marketing was and still is clueless.Uriah Heep escaped me growing up. Although one friend was sent to clean the dog do’s from the backyard with the command “go pick up the Uriah Heeps”. (True, it was the mid 70s)
I’ll look for this song.![]()
Ok I know this sounds incredibly dumb. Nevermind, been doing this rodeo since 1979. Head is like a flat tire is all.Hey, several-page-back reference here... when installing EB Cobalt Flats, do you just start with the whole string, i.e., no trimming first?
