Hey, several-page-back reference here... when installing EB Cobalt Flats, do you just start with the whole string, i.e., no trimming first?
I cut strings about three or four finger widths past the peg after making a sharp bend back a little for where the cut will be. Stuff the end into the peg and tighten. Yank on it a bit and tighten again. Then play and check tuning a lot for however long it takes for tuning to stay stable. That is usually not long at all. All strings get the same treatment. Which plane of hell does this lead to?

It’s like nobody works any more. What are they going to do, fire me?I've figured out that I need to check in the morning while I’m dosing on caffeine and waiting for my computer to connect and log in. Check again at lunchtime and in the evening while watching the ballgame. It’s the only way to keep up.

Ha! Guess what I’m doing at lunchtime (ie. right now) ?

Huh. Thain was from NZ. Not surprising giving how clueless record company marketing was and still is clueless.

I knew of them, just never <knowingly> heard their stuff. I’m sure some will be familiar when I get to listen. Ok, cool but I’m not sure anyone would have made anything out of that (him being a Kiwi) back in the day. Unless he was a racehorse of course.

Gotta get in my TBT pic. Still that day here.

It’s taken me all day to twig what TBT is... mind you I’m in the future also. Friday.

Trim if you need to.

Ok I know this sounds incredibly dumb. Nevermind, been doing this rodeo since 1979. Head is like a flat tire is all.
Take two aspirin and call me in the morning.

Yep - bend it, cut it, stuff it, wrap it, yank it, then play with it. Pretty much a day in the life if the average male. Oh, and the money quote - "That is usually not long at all" a thought that has run through many a partners mind.

I can only get into nothing but trouble by saying this, but, handy little box.

I love mine! HPF is a no brainer, but I think the magic is in the LPF, on upright. I can crank the highs for the slap stuff, but tame back the ice pick stuff way up high. Great design
