The round things at the end of bass strings. Remove one from an old string and slide it down to the ball end on your new string as a spacer.
That's what I thought. The B wouldn't fit through one. Not sure the E would have.

Nope, not at all. I ruined a couple many mango seasons ago. Found a method(online video)that works for me: Using the E string, pull string past the E post to the A post. Bend 90 degrees and cut. Should have about 1/2" to 3/4" to stick into the post. Start winding. Same for A(to D post)and D(to G post). For the G, pull about 2" to 2 1/2" past the post, bend, cut and wind. I also did this with the tapes on my Ibby and it worked. It's harder to describe than do.Ok I know this sounds incredibly dumb. Nevermind, been doing this rodeo since 1979. Head is like a flat tire is all.

I love mine! HPF is a no brainer, but I think the magic is in the LPF, on upright. I can crank the highs for the slap stuff, but tame back the ice pick stuff way up high. Great design
A II even! Sounds great! BTW, y'all know how I.A. gets that sound on the flute?(I used to play flute-not all that well but....)THUNDERBIRD!

You hum as as you blow air across the mouthpiece. It does not have to be the same note yer playing
Seems to be quite a few on Reverb, vintage and 2013.LOL - as far as I can tell, I just need one more - a NR. I don't care if it's a Vintage Gibby or an off brand or a modern Gibby or Eppi, just has to be a Non Reverse, even if I have to build it myself.
Hmm. That looks interestingOr you can always go for the always on HPF only version for ~half the price.

"Followed directions"???? Turn in yer 'man card'I just followed the directions on the package.
Do you play guitar?OT.
Still looking to get more, different, music into our group which has morphed into a singing group with accordion accompaniment.
So, I had a chat with my music teacher and we went through some melody options that I might get up on fairly quickly (in a limited sense).
Conclusion was ukelele.
Another plus being two other members play in a uke band on the side. 3 being > 2 may encourage them to get on it as well.
Any thoughts ? (I have been eyeing off a banjo uke just to be different, but maybe a few too many $ for an experiment.)
Apart from the accordion, I have my bass, a kazoo and a washboard tie. Looking for tapping sticks as well.
2 have ukes but don’t bring them.
1 plays guitar and mandolin but doesn’t attend often due to having a young child. 1 plays a tambourine (LOUDLY) at any moment, and one has just picked up a bodhran (small) and has a slide whistle.
Just waiting for someone with a partridge and pear tree.
I’m thinking I should be able to herd them towards using some various combinations of those for a few songs. Some oldtimey stuff I guess.
Does it sound at least possible?
( Trying to 1. Break up 100% accordion, and 2. Options of accordion man can attend. )
Sorry for the ramble but it is doing my head in a bit.
"Shakin' all over"?
It's 'funny' how one uncommon word can trigger a song phrase.("Quivers down my backbone")

They're actually 55-110. I'm considering DGCF tuning...45-100.
