Wait, are you saying that the master baited, switched teams, and now won't play with his bird!?
Never Mind the Bollocks was such as great album. It was so angry; it resonated with me.
Yep, I get it.
Thats ok. You have a 'Bird and it sounds like it chose you. Hang out here anyway.
The Pistols kept me sane a few times. It was a matter of rocking out with loud punk or doing something kinda bad. It passed. Good thing!
Big PR&TR fan - first band (of that level) I ever saw live in an auditorium. FANG! He'd flip his white Vox Phantom with black tape "FANG" on it and the girls would scream! Yes, also remember watching Micky on CB.
I remember that National Lampoon magazine did a spread (70's?) on "The Bulgemobiles" with great imagined illustrations of exaggerated (but not much!) cars from the late 40's-early fifties. The Tucker could have easily been one of those exaggerations! It looks more imagined than real.
I thought the T-shirt said
I remember that issue. Lampoon was a staple of the 70s, even for a 12 year-old.
Punk rock has provided reasonable service to many, myself included.
totally agree, really interesting chapter in automotive history...way ahead of time and immortalized by it's fate...many parallels to the DeLorean DMC 12 debacle..
The d-bird arrived yesterday on my way out the door to practice. I literally unboxed it and put it to work. The short story is, this is a superior instrument. It came perfectly set up, tuned down a whole step, and the bottom 2 strings where still tighter and more focused than my best instruments. Ill take some pics later, while its still pretty!
Those were great songs IMO. Makes me want to put together a punk cover band just thinking about it
It is. With it, The Clash, Give ‘Em Enough Rope and Pure Mania from the Vibrators, I dove hard into punk. Still loved my glam, prog, and Neil, but those albums did for me what the Beatles had done 10+ years earlier and cemented me to music forever. And I could actually play it (unlike most of the prog I listened to). My kids (and wife) think I’m nuts. I probably am.
Isn't that a requirement?
It kinda was.
Well at least it seems to be for our gang here. Wouldn’t have it any other way.
Unless it was one of the few shows with Jimi opening.
