So, you obviously play Country and Western with that collection.

I also love that your user name is one of my all time favorite bands. Note the tee from "back in the day" -
I actually still have that tee tucked away in the closet.

Always...Still...
That's cool. I wish I still had some things from my history! I was just thinking about that the other day. Funny to see the changes looking at the map you've made in your life.

Urinal as a tip jar. Good to see you are keeping it classy!
Nice! You should see the looks I get when I use this at keg parties.
Holds about 3 beers...now that's classy![]()
Except Thursdays which are anything goes. But mind your time zones and leave +/- 4 days buffer just to be sure.Always...
The real trick is not in the finding, but in recognizing what it is.Lol... not that it's in the photo, but that you found it...
Thunderbird players are a classy bunch! You should see the looks I get when I use this at keg parties.

Thunderbird are go. Last weekend's backyard shindig, our drummer and his wife made this vid. They spelled my last name wrong, but I'm learning to let go...
As usual, pardon the clams and occasional ghosted notes. I spend way too much time away from my bass.
P.s. Headphones...

I'm missing a third of the alphabet if you sit through a few tunes.Great job! Missing an A?
And is that a giant pizza on the ground?
That is a good reason to have them. It sucks he is gone, though.Haha, no the lefties are actually my little brother's. He passed away a few years back and I display them as his legacy and a reminder to me. He played bass for VIII Days Clean, you can look them up on iTunes. He was a far better bassist than me, and I miss him, so I leave them there for the world to remember him.![]()
I find that coated DRs are similar to what you describe and last a long time. Cobalt Flats are different from them in sound but also work well with Thunderbirds and last well. The PinkBird may get its tapes again, at least for a while.I'm currently trying DR Lo-Riders 45-100 on the 'Bird...what kind of (and gauge) strings do you mount on yours?
I found that these DRs have lowered a bit the "WOOOOOM" bottom end, enhancing the mid frequencies and letting the growl/woodiness more clea/audible...for now, they work for mebut they're new.
I also achieved a good setup with the 3 point bridge, low enough action without buzzing at all. I have it slightly tilted to the back (opposite to the neck, let's say 1-2 mm)

Only on Thursdays. Is that an upright Thunderbird?
I trained as an electronics tech, then went into telecom. My knowledge of audio gear is at the block diagram level compared to Chuck, who actually knows how things work together at the component level.I love peeps who know their chosen field inside & out!I have no idea what a toroidal transformer is (other than being a transformer)

That's Dick Van Dyke.![]()
Who is that dude with Scott?
It makes me nervous running an amp with no gain control. It’s off topic here so I’ll pm you to pick your brain if I decide to use one for bass.those should work well for bass..
SWEET!!!Ok - now it IS Thunderbird Thursday (at least on the left-coast of the US)
No stinkin' laser here - a hand-cut inlay from 40 yrs ago ain't gunna' be perfect...
