You can just barely see the lever there on the tuner but otherwise your bass will look and sound normal. That is, until you flip the lever.

Does that year have a significance to you, Roger?

No, night I've had two of those, one was a '76 with a hefty neck and I came into a wrist issue after a few years so I traded it (for a 7ender, lol). I had another, a Blackstar... Sold it because it was too "dark sounding".

So I have no right to whine actually. I will live with my scars, incurred by my own character flaws. But... Since I've learned my lesson, there will be another! Oh yes...

You could always stick it on with double stick tape and just glue some cutoff screw heads into the screw holes...

Back to the pickups - how would you describe their sound? Dark, bright, aggressive, thumpy, midrangy, etc?

This is in zero manner a tbird but I think I'm listing over it. She's freeking Georgous! And although she doesn't have the growl of a bird i know she would get lots of love around my place. My problem you ask? She aint a cheap bar whore, more like a ladie you want to take out to a nice dinner and dancing after.

Yes, I favour my neck pickup and only seem to use the bridge one for colour- so it makes sense to me. Unfortunately, mine still in transit are both 8 K- the 9.2s were not available when I ordered.
Anyway, looks great Scott. Still waiting for mine, which I ordered in early December- hopefully, this week coming (second attempt). They are going into an 08 Gibson TBird, with standard factory wiring.
I haven't touched the wiring on aTBird before or anything with those braided leads. I assume the tip of the lead is hot and goes to the lug of the respective pot and the little short lead is the earth and is soldered to the pot case. Anything else to watch out for given it is my first time under the hood of a TBird- I have done basic maintenance wiring work Fenders and a Ripper (pickups, pots, inputs).
As for the inevitable change to a chrome bridge. Are Gibson and Epiphone Three Pointers different? I thought I read that they were.
