All you US guys, are you OK with the blizzard- looks bad on the TV.

Yeah..we got hammered pretty good just outside of Washington DC....close to 30 inches if not that.Snow drifts are much higher.
I dug out yesterday during the storm and will finish the rest today.
All of the adult beverages are holding out so we really have nothing to fear.

Lol, I almost lost control of my little pickup truck last night creeping home on the expressway! Doing about 20mph... Roads were real bad, but no power-outs or any of that. I'm in Rhode Island, so we just got more of a glancing blow. New York got it bad I think.

Few years ago there was a blizzard on the east coast and the news anchor was like: "Our alpine country wouldn't care".
Boom few days later 15 inches of snow in Vienna and they were going crazy. Was in a tram that dropped out of the rails.

Regarding the latest influx of Tbird hate:

Is the TBird the troll amongst basses? I mean it irritates the fender disciples like nothing else. On a sidenote I asked something of genuine interest in the jbazz thread - crickets.

Yeah people don't get that a car is easy to handle under perfect conditions, but things turn ugly quick with snow, heavy rain and/or glazing.

Sat night at the reggae gig our kitchen friend came out and hung awhile, going on about how much he loves the bird... But it's not his bass "in the studio". For me the jury's out still, the 'Birds have def got a different character than the 7ender clan does.

I remember a guy being mad that his eBay Gibson TBird, unbeknownst to him by the seller, came with an Epiphone 3 Point on it. He was pissed but it didn't affect the playability. Is it a fit or quality issue?

You'd think it would snow a lot in Seattle but it rarely does - That's a good thing as we're terrible driver to begin with and if there's a 1/2", yes a half inch in the forecast it's a panic from all sides. The Epi has different sized posts and inserts from the Gibson. I want to say the posts and "hooks" where the bridge attaches to the posts are smaller on the Gibson. The difference in insert size is why the Hipshot bridge comes with 2 different size mounting screws.

So Epi 3 Points WILL work on Gibbys but not vice-versa then?

Wow) great sound and looks amazing) I wonder how much this bass is worth?

This is from first issue, over $3000.00 and they have already said next years will be over $4 grand. Yea they are proud but it is hand made in Telaviv and oh so sexy looking. I wont be ordering one any time soon unfortunatly.

The threading is metric on the Epi components, so you can't use their posts with Gibson inserts. Gibson's inserts are different than Epi as well, they're designed to countersink into the body, Epi's inserts have a lip at the top that rests on top of the body.

I think so but it's been so long since I've tried any test fittings that I honestly do not remember.

But there's an upside. We give the world lots of dumb drivers on hills YouTube videos every time it snows around here. It's a public service that requires a lot of sacrificial 7enders to accomplish, but we do it gladly.
