Thunderbird Club

[Rant]
People that post tabs on line are hacks!
[/Rant] OK, not really the end of the rant, really the title of the rant.

I said to my brother "We should learn Green Onions". It is easy 12 bar blues (all of three chords i, iv, v in Fm). I already know how to play it, but I go looking at bass tabs. Of 4 tabs I quickly find, only 1 is correct. So then I go look at guitar tabs (thinking that I could be nice and find a link to send my brother). Well, the first one I look at, all the hack did was copy the bass line onto a guitar tab score. Next one, same thing but with power chords. Finally I found one that tabs both the guitar part and the organ part as played by guitar.

If the tab sites are representative of the people out there playing in cover bands, then no wonder there is pay for play. If someone is playing these tabs live, they should be paying me to listen.

Rollerderby is as much a sport as pro wrestling is.

A view from the stage last night.
Karen plays trumpet, keys, percussion and sings backups. Sometimes two of the above at the same time.
She also has a Masters degree in music theory, so we tend to defer to her judgement when working out harmonies.

The trumpet player I worked with in Miami would play trumpet with his left hand and string lines on a set of keys with his right simool....no, symult.....no...at the same time.

The case I was building for my brother is done. I should have taken pictures before he filled it up. But, too late.

Link Removed might know what all that stuff does. I sure don't. He says he will probably want another case pretty soon. It doesn't have a jack to plug in a Thunderbird, so I don't see the point, but what do I know?

It folds shut and latches so he can carry it around by its handle. It has a piano hinge on the back and floor tom brackets and legs so he can prop it open. It weighs enough that I'm a little skeptical of the handle he picked out. You can't see the blue laminate, but I think there were pictures of that a while ago. He wants some modifications, but I suspect that it is now just going to be used. Meaning I won't see it again unless I'm at his house or somewhere he's making noise.

Oh, Freakin, MY!!!!!!!!!!

There is legend of a guy in Canada who plays bass, sings and plays keyboards simool … symult at the same time. Has to be legend because he doesn't play out anymore. Just writes books . Book.

Been a crazy week. Setting up a new computer for my elderly mother, my wife got a Air Mac, so I've been learning that to show her how to use it, got a newish phone Samsung G10 and set it up--had to send that back, got another phone G9+ and all that goes with setting that up, I worked on the refrigerator and it died anyway the next day so we had to hunt another one down...... No time to play the Thunderbirds or fool around online.
