I had a '72 Ford station wagon with the fake wood on the sides. It was a land yacht and was unstoppable. My parents got a '78 Ford station wagon brand new. It was one of the smaller, square ones which have a name that has disappeared from my memory. Good thing, too. All kinds of things that shouldn't break managed to break at bad times on that car. They didn't keep it long. After that, it was up until last October before I had another Ford. Not because I expected them to be anything like the lemon '78, but because it just worked out that way. I have a 2010 Transit Connect now. It's got minimal mileage on it, so it should last a long time. If it doesn't, I'll be back to something else.
