I'm starting to think you don't believe the folks in bureaucratic structures are possibly smarter than the rest of us....:D

I'm just a dumb old boy from Kentucky, but there seems to be other options than inconveniencing several million people like this. Just saying.
I AM one of those bureaucrats and I can assure you that I am not smarter than the rest of you! Hmmm, should I have admitted that?

You’re right, may just be a Peavey neck..

Can't talk politics without risking the admin wrath, so I'll just leave it at - I've never seen a higher level of incompetence at every single level than I've seen here in lovely California.

If you aren't inconveniencing millions of people, you aren't doing your job. Isn't that how politicians and the public service work?
Yep, this one was all about saving money, until people died and utilities got sued. Then it switched to a position of "we'll show you who's in control" - off with your power! I can't wait until they raise the electric rates to compensate for the days they make no revenue while the power is off, I'm sure it'll be the next shoe to drop.

First world problems - just restrung my 2015 THUNDERBIRD with the extra heavy Taper Black Beauties but without power I can't play the bass to see how it sounds and to complete the setup. :banghead:

Foolish me. What was I thinking?:rollno: While being proud of their profound insight. Which is why none play THUNDERBIRDS!

One of my favorite quotes--because it's sadly not logically arguable.
“Most of the great problems we face are caused by politicians creating solutions to problems they created in the first place.” (Economist, Dr. Walter E. Williams)

Saturday night's rig-only room I can justify using the R112 extension with the 200c. :bassist:

1. Cool artisanal SD TV set! Does it use tubes (in addition to the picture tube)? Or is it one of those solid state ones?
2. Collection Beanie Babies under the blue sheet?
3. Collection of all things tortoise shell underneath the green sheet? Or is the toys that have come over your fence?

ya...Hammond C2...electromechanical vibrato by way of a multipole motor sweeping through a delay line made up of 17 banks of RLC combinations...."Yikes!" is an understatement.....these 50's designers were on some serious meds.......all good now..
Very logical design engineering - just replicate one thing many times. The logistics of building the thing are a problem for the production engineer to work out.

They built some amazing electromechanical stuff back then. Ever see the Strowger switches in the old telco COs?
