Thunderbird Club

Sorry to go off topic here, but I just installed TI jazz flats on my AV '58 p bass, reinstalled both covers and shoved foam muting under the bridge cover. Love the vintage tone! So much so that my band will be doing a cover of Wichita Lineman. Just figured out Carol Kayes bass part ( using a pick - I know, but I use a pick when called for ). Also ordered the TI's for my Rick 4003S.
Now, onto my Thunderbird - can anyone recommend a set of good strings to bring out more treble than whatever comes standard on epi T bird Classic Pros? Medium tension. I was thinking something in the DR line. Thoughts?

I like DR HighBeams and Black Beauties on Birds myself. Also rediscovered a love of Smith Bass Burners and Rockmasters as of late.

Wow. You’re good. Thanks. I would so love to buy that. But a new bass isn’t in the cards, at least until sometime next year. Kind of bleeding cash at the moment. I haven’t shared this, but my beloved mother-in-law (and I mean that sincerely, she was absolutely wonderful) passed away a few days ago so we’re dealing with some unexpected grief and expenses.

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

breakfast, NOW!!
