Thunderbird Club

There was a CP at the local Guitar Center about six months ago. It was missing its truss rod cover for some reason, and looked to have led a somewhat strenuous life. It was way up high on their used bass wall, like they wanted to hide it. And it was dirt cheap. When the salesman got it down, it was pretty obviously (to me) a good one. The action was about where I like it, the intonation was good, and it rang out unplugged. No dead spots or any other weirdness to tune out of it. It was beyond cheap. I don't remember the price, but it was something like $199 if I remember correctly. I might have weasled them down to $150 but didn't. Then I made the mistake of telling the sales guy what it was and what he was looking at. I think he might have ended up buying it, because it disappeared shortly after that.
Too bad. . .

So is this.

I didn't need any advice to blow up my marriage of 29 years. . .
Edit: No worries. I've found my soulmate, and she and I are going to retire together shortly!
Edit 2: I normally would not have posted this, but I am stressed out today: my Aunt passed away yesterday and my uncle is in intensive care and may not pull through. Don't mean to be a Debbie Downer - trying to stay upbeat with the crew here on the Thunderbird Club!

sorry to hear - it's a tough part of life that becomes more prevalent as we are aging

No, you wouldn't. Not to these people. (A) I wasn't the BL (B)these folks were part of a long established 'family'. I chose to continue living.
Wise indeed. Glad you made the right decision. "A man's got to know his limitations," said the philosopher. No shame there--just wisdom. We all have to think "long game."

Oh man...... We're here for you.

My Aunt is in Florida, but on her way up here for services (which I will attend,) in Staten Island. My Uncle ( who happens to be my Godfather ), is handling the arrangements. My sick uncle can not be visited now due to his condition, but his sons are handling that. Hopefully, he will recover, and I will visit him then. Fingers crossed...
Thank you. :)
