Thunderbird Club

I saw this at first and though it was supposed to be about

I’ve been wanting to see it! Haven’t heard a negative word yet about it, so that’s good

and we need flag pictures!
Saw it a week ago, really liked it, but mostly because I'm a Gearhead (as are you).

The acting was great, the car shots were great, the plot was great, but it's as much about Carol Shelby vs Ford Motor Company as it is about Ford vs Ferrari. If you're a historical stickler it takes some liberties that make for good drama but veer from the truth a bit. But if you're looking for an action packed docudrama about phenomenal race cars and the bigger than life people behind them you might not find a better movie.

Pop some popcorn and watch it back to back with the movie "Rush" for an delightful overindulgence in motor sports!

Now we need a good NHRA drag strip movie and something for the two wheeled gearheads as well.

Does this movie with drag racing in it and Don Rickles as Big Drag count?

Happy Thanksgiving!

So, the quest for a gig bag for my NR 'Bird is not going well. I thought I researched well, through this thread and others, but the Gator Transit does not fit. Looking for suggestions, and yes, I know I shouldn't carry this base in anything but a hard case...

Happy Thanksgiving to you JJP.
Hang tight. I’m sure the NR owners will chime in at some point and hopefully steer you in the right direction.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Cool sunny morning here in Spokane. Glad to report the new configuration of the band seems to be coming together. Strong personalities and some inevitable dysfunction, but that just makes it more interesting.
I hope everyone has a great day, and enjoys some delicious food with family and friends.

Coffin case. Not home right now, I'll try to remember to post the model. My bass is 52". I had to take out the accessory space at the bridge end of the case. NBFD, 4 staples.

Added info: I got mine from Sam Ash. I believe it's the vx300-or something like that. If you go on Coffin's website, you can get dimensions. There's a used one on Reverb for $59+ s/h. (not mine, no affiliation)

What does the coffin case weigh?
IDK, never weighed it. It ain't light! But it protects the 'Bird. Thass all that really matters.
I also have a gig bag I got from Dean guitars, made by Rockbag. No model number, but it's even longer than the Coffin case.

Have you tried the ProGo? With the bottom inside cushion removed, your NR should fit.

Hi all! Happy Thanksgiving, and TBird Thursday.

I’ve been delinquent in keeping up with the Club, so I figured here’s a good chance to chime in.

I’ve got a 2018 Gibson, and it appears to be a very long TBird. The pic below shows how it fits in my Gator ProGo dual bag. Hope this helps with the bag hunt.

Note: Tail cushion removed.

wonder if when Leo got locked up in the office and Ford got taken on that joy ride is historically accurate...
