With this family of mine, we’re lucky if we eat by 6. I know. It’s TBT. But I’m hungry.

In all seriosity, it was more the P/J pup configuration.

I can understand that. I have a P/J and love it ('99 Fender factory Hot Rod), but I personally don't want a Thunderbird to do the P/J thing.

Putting the Cobalt flats on it made a big difference(I always use flats)but not enuff to 'love' it

I can see that being the case. On my P/J I really love GHS Pressurewounds. One of those basses I never consider another string because that combo sounds so good. Well, I have another P/J, but it's a very modern take on a '55 P and it has the PWs on as well. I find that Cobalt flats and Pressurewounds sound somewhat similar.

I might get around to trying some of the PWs on a Thunderbird. My recent VP steal came with a set on but I wanted to go in another direction.

Coffin case. Not home right now, I'll try to remember to post the model. My bass is 52". I had to take out the accessory space at the bridge end of the case. NBFD, 4 staples.

Same one I used for my Bach NR. That is a big case and not light, but no heavier than other cases really. But it is long!! (Ahem)

Monaco was one of our favorite stops on our trip. Such a beautiful place!!

I always try to make something special for breakfast for the kids on holidays. This morning we watched The Grinch and I served up a stack of Whoville chocolate chip pancakes for each kid...

The kids loved em, and it held them until Thanksgiving dinner at 5:00. We're not much on turkey so we had Roast Beef and Yorkshire pudding. Got to play around with the TBirds after dinner. All in all, another fine Thanksgiving.

Yeah, the whole turkey and trimmings once a year is more than enuff for me.

those NR Epis led me to this club (stoked!) when I realized how hard it was to come by an NR I started researching converting one of those by adding T-Bird type buckers. since the length of the J pup is close to the length of a bucker with the ring, the pickguard can be made to fit (some routing underneath) and the Bird logos were available. chinabuckers were not available at the time so I didn’t chance the investment on something I may not have liked (had already owned a bicen since 82) being a bolt on and not mahogany. then, I stumbled onto this club and learned about BaCHbirds..

Those look good! With all we went through the last several weeks, and the bad weather, we stayed off the roads. It was just the wife and son with me at the house. Did a prime rib on the Weber because they really don’t like turkey. A lazy day with some time in the shed.

Sounds pretty good man. I'm almost a little jealous! But I'm thankful for my day, so I won't go there!
