Thunderbird Club

did you end up putzing with the VLE/VPF controls?
Yeah I put the VLE at about 4 and VPF at zero. Don’t need no scoop!
Once I start playing I don’t really mess with the amp unless I really need to.
Assuming the reggae band keeps trending in the right direction, I’ll have to think about what to use.

The owner of that rig says those 210 cabs are pretty light.

I saw Paul Rodgers about a year ago. I like Free and Bad Co but I would not classify myself as a huge fan. I was really impressed; great stage presence, kept the audience with him the whole time and still sings incredibly well. I enjoyed it far more than I expected to.
I'm genuinely shocked how well the Bad Co. goes over, I had forgotten how many great songs they had. A little from last Wednesdays show.

they make two flavors, the rear ported model is good for 400W and weighs only 33lbs. I managed to cook one but it was purely my doing..

Visited The Bass Shop in West Seattle yesterday.....Can't say I've ever seen anything like this Ibanez before.

AGB205? I have an AGB 200(4 string). That darker finish was only available on the 5er.

A hollow body Artcore? I thought about picking up one of those a while ago. They seem to be bargains for the price and sound like hollow bodies with humbuckers. If you do not like the electronics, they are a PITA, just like nearly every other archtop ever made.
I had a shortscale version with a single piece bridge saddle. It sounded very nice, Höfnery.

It’s cool when that happens. I think as musicians, we tend to get jaded and not realize how some songs resonate with people.
We started playing “Got to get you into my life” last summer and everyone knows the words.

Gear update. Very pleased with this Ammoon wireless system for home use. The performance has been flawless and the charge seems to last a long time as long as you turn them off when not in use. I used them after almost a month of non-use and they still had life in them. They do seem cheaply-made, but they work.

I'm not above stealing a few of Boz's runs and style in general, my 3 piece band wants me to spice up my parts during the guitar solos, the bottom drops out a little without a rhythm or keyboard player. I historically simplify my parts during guitar solos as to not step on toes. It's so great the guys asked me back after I left 14 years ago.

Just a suggestion: I use an EFX Micro POG(octaver)-octave up during guitar solos. Makes me sound like a bass and guitar playing together an octave apart. Really "fattens" it up.

I was hoping someone would say they really don't work! I keep thinking about these or like sets, and want to be talked out of it. My real concern is the possibility of some kind of interference sending or receiving. Some places have a lot of electrical and other wireless signals floating around. I do, however, really like the idea of ditching a wire. A little scary as well from an inexpensive system. But everything good isn't outrageously expensive.

I do not intend to use these in a live situation; just to make it cleaner and easier at home. For a live setup, I like the tried-and-true cable. Plus I find these kinda silly-looking.
