Thunderbird Club

Awesome! That sounds great. I think I might have to learn Tom Sawyer now.

Now post your Bay City Rollers cover...;):roflmao:
Thanks! I had to work on the 7/8 section during the guitar solo for quite a while. The riff moves up a string and I had trouble transitioning where it moves back down.
It’s a worthy challenge for sure. I watched Geddy live to decide on the fingering.

Our Bone player was bugging me last night about my pedalboard. He has no idea how basic mine is! The tuner and wireless receiver aren’t effects. All I have is distortion, chorus, octave and an envelope filter.
He should sit in with us. I have one pedal(EHX Micro POG)which I don't always use. I also have 4 D'Addario NS Micro tuners, 1 on each bass. Total outlay for tuners ~$45.

One handed, that's good. I do one finger.
Going for a procedure myself 10th march, carpel tunnel, left arm.
Gonna be weird as I write, wipe and point with my left but I play bass with my right.
I had both hands done a while back. My travelogue of that is somewhere in the thread a few pages back*.

I got both done about 2 weeks apart. Not the best plan, but I managed. Have a plastic surgeon do it. The scars are barely visible (so it won't look like a suicide attempt) and they do the prettiest stitches.

That is one of the best covers of that tune I have ever heard...sounds so nice and thick. Tempo is perfect, not too fast.
Thank you! I’m fortunate to have found some really talented bandmates.

The drummer was a sub, but the guy has a Rush tattoo on his chest - he was pretty excited!
(I’m aware of the part I played wrong in that clip)

When I was working through rotator cuff PT I switched over to playing one of these...

Fun little bass Ukulele, a life saver on my shoulder, and a surprisingly massive bottom end.

I think there's a Thunderbird shaped one out there that would be cool to have...

I tried a Uke bass when I sprained my left thumb years ago. Couldn’t get past the rolling rubber strings and ended up playing my EBO.

I tried one once. Like fretting worms. Not for me.

I felt the same, but then put roundwound strings on mine, and its a keeper. Not going to every play it live (well, probably not), but it's fun to tool around on in the house.

Just incase anyone is wondering.

It's definitely a different feel. If you can get used to it it'll put a smile on your face.

LOL - Rubber worms is pretty accurate.
