and open the bathroom door with a towel on the way out and discard it at the nearest can..
They all open outward. It's one reason I wash on the way in. Going out, my bluejeaned butt opens the door.
We have a dinner gig scheduled for the 9th. No word about cancellation, but there's a few weeks between now and then. Anything could happen.
My son's living comes from playing gigs. I hope he doesn't get cancelled out of existence.
In the 1980’s this guy told me to use lemon oil:"Lemon Oil" is mineral oil (a petroleum distillate) with some lemon scent added (maybe natural or synthetic lemon oil, or maybe just a combination of esters that smell lemony). My thought is that it is akin to finishing wood with linseed oil although not as long lasting. I don't think it does much harm to the wood, nor do I believe that it is beneficial to the wood. Just useful for cleaning and giving the wood a polished appearance.
But I am just a fancy chemist not a carpenter or woodworker.
I like Kats position WRT wasps.
We have countries we can't travel to, and other travel needs additional approval. Non-employees have to fill out a form about their recent travel history / exposure likelihoods (my words, I can't recall the words from the email). Additional cleaning services engaged, and supplies to help reduce contagion have been passed out. We do that during nastier flu seasons, too.
Handshakes are at an all-time low. I'm pretty sure if anyone tried to leave the bathroom without washing hands they'd get called out. I usually wash hands on the way in AND on the way out.
I can get all the way from my front door, on two trains, to work place without touching anything. No such once I get there. Seems most people haven't received the memo about touching, coughing and sneezing and from today I'm working from home until this all calms down.
Yes. I don't expect it to be over soon, either.Well, it's becoming an across the board thing - clubs/venues, church services, general events, parties, gatherings, sporting events, anything associated with groups people congregating.
Doesn't look like a '60s T-bird hum-bucker but SD made it for T-birds. Alan Whitman, original bass-player for The Mermen had a '64 IV with 2 installed. Double massive.
There are a number of really good Mermen recordings - but this live one is a fave of mine when they were young, fresh and on fire. (quality is relatively low but at least their playing then was captured live) Understandably Jimi Hendrix was a big influence on guitarist Jim Thomas, you know - the guy who said "...you'll never hear surf music again" on Third Stone From the Sun.From the pic on the cover it looks like Alan was playing a P-bass on this recording.
Killer stuff. Monster players. But that lead singer is completely buried in the mix. Also, she forgot to wear her matching suit.
I'm not sure that I trust that source. No articles on the Legend of Lemke Lake or the Sea Monster of Muskrat Lake.In the 1980’s this guy told me to use lemon oil:

I have been using it on rosewood fingerboards since then and it seems to work with no ill effects. It also smells nice.
I’ve tried some Dunlop fingerboard conditioner that I was given but it doesn’t seem to soak in as well.
Sorry about losing 'happy hour', but I bet they kept 'miserable other 23 hours'And now they canceled happy hours until further notice. I suspect that, like Dell, we will soon be in a "work from home if possible" scenario. That's fine by me. Less driving in traffic and less drive-bys at my desk.
Like I said - a marginal quality live recording. It was a compilation of live radio shows at KFJC-FM 89-7 from '92-'92 & '94. They played their first live show in '88 and became regulars at Burning Man which moved to the desert in '86. Still going strong today - saw them last December and they were still rocking hard.

I'm already thinking about buying up scads of Ibuprofen when people realize they can never use it by its expiration date. Pennies on the dollar and donate it food pantries, clinics, etc.In comedy news, supermarkets here are being unkind to people suffering 'panic-buyers remorse'.
All those people with 50000 rolls of toilet paper and a couple of tonnes of pasta shells are being told no returns and no refunds.
Not the best recording, but OK, and the musicianship comes through clearly. Wikipedia doesn't list all their personnel, but the 2000-2006 years with Jennifer Burnes on bass are fun, too. Even with a Fender she brings the thunder.
