I believe I read somewhere they built 200 of those ‘13 NRs....maybe the Gibson Bass Book?..
Thanks. Sure doesn’t seem like very many, especially if that’s the combined total for the burst and PB finishes. If that is correct, I’m feeling even more honored that mine chose me.
Jack-booted melon-haters! You'll never take me alive!Voice from outside the door: This is Health and Human Welfare Control. Sir, please put the glass down and step away from the Scotch.
Still, fewer than I would have thought.Actually, my recollection (which has known to be wrong from time to time) is 200 each of PB and Burst.
BTW

2020 is a very unusual Anzac Day. Though people have done well. Instead of community Dawn Services, Sydney people came out into the street at 5:30am with candles, poppies to decorate fences & mail boxes etc, and musical instruments for the last post.
Traditionally bugle, evidently all manner of instruments were used this morning. The news report showed trumpets, flutes, clarinets, a cello, an accordion, guitars.
I regret I didn’t join in. I suppose I have 12 months to learn The Last Post on something.
Not sure how to say it, but to you and our other Aussie and Kiwi friends, thank you for the sacrifices your families made then and in the subsequent conflicts against tyranny. And for the continued friendships between our countries.
yep, that’s it. remember where you read that? I can’t..Actually, my recollection (which has known to be wrong from time to time) is 200 each of PB and Burst.

YES! Congrats. And you’ll have great CS should there be an issue. Unless you’re able to find one under $500 with shipping, or you’re getting a case, buying one used is more often than not false economy.I sent messages to 3 more used listings for Vintage Pro Thunderbirds about the weight and none of them have responded.
But, then I got to thinking about it and after shipping, the used ones would only be about $120 less than buying new. And its worth it to me to get a light one. And Sweetwater has an 8lb 6oz. So I bought that.

Yeah, the used ones which I did get responses on, ranged from 9.1 lbs to 10 lbs. Personally, 8lbs 6oz is worth the premium.YES! Congrats. And you’ll have great CS should there be an issue. 1000% agree. None of my basses is over 8.5 lbs. The left-handed Gibson is 8.5, the NR, if I remember correctly, is between 8 and 8.5, and the BC Rich is 8. I think you made a great choice.Yeah, the used ones which I did get responses on, ranged from 9.1 lbs to 10 lbs. Personally, 8lbs 6oz is worth the premium.

I can't recall for sure but I found it when I was looking for run numbers on my 2008 SG Supreme bass, which also had a 200 number run. Seems to me that's about a weeks run for Gibby on a given model.yep, that’s it. remember where you read that? I can’t..

15s and 12s are what I run!I'm excited! Might try running the Hiwatt into a 4x12 and the Sunn 2000s into a 2x15 for lows for some biamping action. Looks like a pretty early one, '69 at the latest I'm guessing from the metal badge and no large Custom on the face plate. Sadly the serial plate is broken and gone so can't confirm the serial, but everything else looks to be in good state. Makes up for the DR201 I missed out locally at a pawn shop last year with a quartet of GECs in it.
