I sent messages to 3 more used listings for Vintage Pro Thunderbirds about the weight and none of them have responded.

But, then I got to thinking about it and after shipping, the used ones would only be about $120 less than buying new. And its worth it to me to get a light one. And Sweetwater has an 8lb 6oz. So I bought that.

Nice score! You'll be happy! Hence the reason you almost never see one used here. Don't know if I ever have. Most "used" I've seen elsewhere are more like a return or demo.

The third one I bought was a Sweaterwater demo and it is 8.5 pounds approximately, I forget the actual weight. I bought it because of the light weight, for what ever reason the lighter ones just feel better to me. Here's my favorite of the lot but honestly all three are great.

If the neighbours don't like the sound of a cranked Thunderbird, you need better neighbours. And the best way to get them is by cranking your Thunderbird!

Yup. That's why I'm having one converted to left-handed.

I can't recall for sure but I found it when I was looking for run numbers on my 2008 SG Supreme bass, which also had a 200 number run. Seems to me that's about a weeks run for Gibby on a given model.

Well those of us with 2013 NRs could compare serial numbers. This is mine:

At the risk of offering an outlandish solution, a THUNDERBIRD might work...

My daughter suggested I could have played my kazoo... which is true but I not sure it hits the mark for solemnity.

I guess I have 12 months to try to learn it on Thunderbird !

Doubt it tastes worse that Scotch. When I drank (professionally), I never could acquire a taste for Scotch. Straight Bourbon must have ruined my tastes--or made me picky.

other than the 33 at the end of yours, how can you tell everything (such as Plant, Date) else?
