Thunderbird Club

Record some drum beats and then play bass with it!
If I do that, then the next step is to actually, finally, learn to play guitar and maybe even sing in a way that doesn't break glass and cause even the rodents to leave the house. If that all happens, the band is fired!

Sounds like a good time to learn some Bach on bass
Funny you should mention that. Last summer, I played a show with some guys who had a Kval(?) player. It is a Bulgarian instrument that looks like a recorder but sounds like a flute. Anyway, he wanted to do the Jethro Tull version of Bouree. We had a week to pull it off before the show. It was not the easiest thing I have ever done in my life, but nobody threw anything at us. I consider that a raging success in a week.

I want in! I've actually had this 2001 T-Bird for some time now. I love the ebony board. I'm ready to start modding now by adding all nickel hardware and thunderbuckers. I'm in love with the look of the Bicentennials. Does anyone know what large clover style tuners (with the big elephant ears on back) will fit? I'm going for the look of the bicentennial, but I'm not sure if mine has a smaller headstock and that won't work? I know about the hipshots- but for me the bigger the better! Thanks!

A brief amp update:

The switch - the last discrete component that might have failed - is good. So, the only recourse now is to replace the mainboard (because things aren't built to be serviced). The tech's repair estimate is C$300 for an amp with a current new price of C$470.

As a result, I will follow a multi-staged repair.
1. Buy a used Traynor small block head for immediate needs.
2. Buy a Traynor YBA100 when they are available.
3. At some point buy the replacement board for the PF-350 and replace it myself (estimated cost C$200).
I think you should take a trip to Jersey.

Beautiful Bird! You don't see many of the non Burst birds around. Welcome to the club, our Queen should be by soon to bestow upon you a royal club number.

A fellow Spector (Rex5 Pro) and VP (Ebony) owner here. Both outstanding choices.

Got one, but it's not showing up in the TonePrint software and in stock form isn't giving me enough. Not a good start. I have a support request submitted to them. We'll see if I hear back. I'll just return it if not.

I am having a hard time too with my mini. They decided to upgrade the toneprint software and it no longer covers 32 bits computers, Im stucked and their customer service is beyond sht.

It takes some time for the toneprint to work, like 5/10 mins sometimes, but there shouldn't be any problem once is working.

Sometimes nothings better than a straight forward thing.

Thanks. Good to know. My computer is most definitely 64-bit. I waited for TonePrint to get itself started and just watched it sitting there telling me to plug in a pedal. I'll likely just return it. Worth a try.
