Thunderbird Club

I turned down a chance to play this Sunday at another church because it's a very small building with a somewhat crowded stage.

We have room at our church to spread out more. I'd go for rehearsal and playing except that Sharon works with higher risk clients, and we have to protect them, so not yet.

I am thinking about seeing if anyone wants to play here on a weekend. Plenty of room outside...
Very wise and considerate of you.

Play there on a weekend? I'm in! Oh, that's right, you're in TX. I was looking forward to that.

I will tread very carefully...

80% of deaths are in those 70+ y/o.
Risk factors in addition to age appear to be concomitant health problems - especially those that result in frailty (this is why it runs through nursing homes).
The overall mortality rate is coning in under 1%, although it is over 20% in those over 70 y/o.
There appears to be immune cross reactivity with other corona viruses - that is if you have been exposed to other corona viruses it may confer immunity to this one - and 20-30% of common colds are due to corona viruses.
Super-spreader events seem to be those with people in close contact indoors doing activities that result in heavy breathing (ahem) such as cheering or singing.
The virus appears to not spread well outdoors due to air circulation.

These are some data points that can inform your choices but only you can decide what you are comfortable with.

Today's stats may put playing my Embassy's on next Thursday in jeopardy. Yesterday was the highest daily count yet at 215, today came in at 343, yet these Utards refuse to wear masks.

NPD! Also, Dude! Foot!
Morley 20/20 volume pedal (optical) with minimum volume pot and switch. For use with THUNDERBIRDS!

The AF Wife book was a gift from my daughter; it contains details I’d never heard around my Uncle Elliott (my middle name) being shot down and MIA in Korea.
Nice! It would appear you need a bigger pedal..... Looks like a good-sized bi-pedal apparatus.

The WHO maintains only those working with Covid infected need to wear them.... Those with no symptoms do not. They are experts we can trust, you know!:rollno:

It's on my list to start working on soon! It's one of the songs whose bass line captivated me even as a teenager thinking guitar was my thing.
A good line is a line. In my teenage world, Mel was a hero. A band that never got the critical acclaim they were due. But that song and GFR were a very important part of my youth. Rabbit hole time.

Question wasn't posed politically, rather seeing what other bass players out there were thinking, but very good job walking on eggs there PillO! :)

Ok. I’ll tell you all now. If you believe the antibody test results, turns out my extremely heathy daughter (she lives in Boston) may have had it early on and didn’t know it. Her only symptom was a short term loss (or more like like a change in) of taste and smell before that being a symptom was widely known. But who knows for sure. I’m wearing a mask when I have to go out. It may turn out to be stupid. But what does it hurt.

Latest update on the Jack Casady bass Pelham Blue refinish by Chicago Fret Works!
Here's Troy Anderson, of CFW, showing her off after the reassemble of the hardware!
I get her back Monday morning, stay tuned...
(seriously considering having my ebony Epi Thunderbird VP refinished in PB)

And I did not want to give a political answer. These are simply facts currently in hand and points that one might want to consider in making decisions. I would like to think that facts aren't political, although some may try to turn them into political points.

Only you can decide what level of risk you are comfortable with.

I can not stop staring at this. Pure porn. A VP refin in PB would be awesome. Pat Wilkins is closest pro refinish shop to me. I know @JIO uses him. I’m seriously thinking of requesting a quote to find out what it would cost to have him do one.
