Thank you, I’m pleased to be here!
Get yourself a hat and join the fun.

Sell the other fivers. Problem solved!

 The Dingwall is hands down, nothing else even comes close, the best 5er I've ever owned or played and was custom made for me. The Roscoe Custom is close, and why it is still here, I regularly get unsolicited offers to buy it. Yeah, the T5 is in that 2nd tier, but a T4/PT4/JT4 would better suit my needs. Plus, I would still have a Lull in the herd. :)

I’d probably instantly throw cash at Gibson if they released the red Thunderbird again...
Sorry, that isn't currently in the rumour mill. The current rumour mill claims an Epiphone Non-reverse Vintage Pro in a variety of colours incuding pelham blue, inverness green, burgundy mist metallic. And apparently it will have a thunderbird inlay at the 12th fret.

Right, my working week’s done so I’m going to get on my Thunderbird for an hour!

I’ve been learning some vintage Hanoi Rocks recently, time to get Motorvatin...

I figured that was where your user name came from. Been a fan since Mystery City was released.

I think you’re right but I missed the boat on that one and haven’t seen one in stock here in the UK whenever I’ve looked. I think the cherry red would look really nice with chrome pickups and hardware as well
Oh, yes it does! I don't remember which of us has one, but it's a complete knock-out with the red finish and chrome hardware. As I recall, it started life with black hardware and pickup covers. All's well that ends up shiny!

Hi, All

I would very much love to become a member of the Thunderbird Club

Here’s my Epiphone Thunderbird IV, manufactured in February 2011 and given to me for my birthday in May 2012!

It’s great to be amongst fellow Thunderbird fans!View attachment 3847738
Nice Eppi! Welcome to the club where TBirds rule. Our queen will most likely be by shortly to knight you with a royal member. Until then, beware the melons!;)

Hey Gbass, I think that sticker looks great on your Porsche. Hella nice car you have there. I have been listening frequently to the Grateful Dead lately, particularly the recordings of the concert at RFK stadium. Stay well, drive safe!
Thx! The Dead Head Sled is a fun car in the canyons and on twisty back roads.
I grew up in the SF Bay Area listening to the Dead and attending their concerts. Some of the best concerts that I can't remember were Head concerts. :D

Well spotted! 11th Street Kids is my all time favourite Hanoi song and Sami Yaffa is a favourite bass player of mine and a regular Thunderbird player back in the day! There’s some really bass driven tracks on their first album, he just drags the songs by the scruff of the neck from start to finish. I’ve been twiddling knobs to try and capture the sound as I’ve been playing some of these songs, great stuff!

Yes, the more recently released one that I’ve seen definitely had black hardware as standard.

He's a good guy, too. I played on the same bill once with a more recent band of his.
