I would buy it today if it was local. Waiting for 3 months shipping from Japan, no thanks.
Buying things and not getting them for months can be fun. I bought the Wishbone Ash box set the day it was announced from the British distributor. I forgot I did that. Several months later it magically appeared at my door. It was a huge surprise and made getting it that much more fun.

I get it, been almost a month, still don't have my Bass Book. That was $60, a whole nother thing when its $1,700+
 
That’s right, you got the three point replacement...can you string that bridge without the claw like on the originals? Can’t tell from the pic..

Are there any other members who actually had success using the stock 3 point or just went for the HipShot

I never liked the 3 point, but it worked fine until I switched to Cobalt flats, which have long silks. The silks ended up over the saddles. The Hipshot solved that. But I'd have just left the 3P if that hadn't happened.

And quite a few like the 3P.
