My 30 year old daughter just decided to noodle around on one of my basses a few weeks ago. I was able to help her pick out the bass line by ear and play it. She had a blast playing it over and over until she consistently got it right. She was playing my FrankenGoth bass so I gave it to her as a gift so she could continue to use it whenever she wanted. It's always neat when a family member joins in on the music journey.
Of course now I need to replace my Goth, was thinking an Eppi Nikki Sixx might be quite a bit different than my other birds.
