Thunderbird Club

Reminds me of when I was a little kid, pre-Beatles.

Freddy Tavares - designer of the Fender Stratocaster playing an early '50s P-bass utilizing the hs location "hootenanny" strap peg.

My daughter took the pic after we worked out the pattern and I just thought you guys would appreciate the image.
I built a 24 foot fence to screen our front patio from the street 4-5 years ago. I didn’t want a standard fence, so I put a fair bit of thought and effort into the aesthetics. (Think Tbird, not Pbass) It was all cedar including the posts. It lasted a few years and then two the posts snapped during a storm. I disassembled it and stored the good pieces.
We’ve now refinished all the cedar and I’m rebuilding using 6x6 treated posts. The boards now have a nice aged character to them. If I don’t encounter more hidden concrete from the farm that used to be here, I hope to get most of it done this weekend.
So there's not going be a cedar Thunderbird in the future? :(

Well, it's not a vintage thunderbird, but it is vintage, and kinda interesting...

Up for auction and dirt cheap right now.

Also going for $725 at this link... I saw this poster brand new in the '70s at a car dealer in KC/MO. (for "attraction" value I guess...) Farrah was an 'it' girl then because of Charlies Angels, but I wasn't into the poofy-hair 'look' and honestly didn't want it to... idolize. I was a young art student and instead thought it would be funny to put it on the inside of my bathroom door. It was the size of a door and I though when someone walked in and shut the door - it would startle them - especially with those big white choppers. So I walked in and asked the showroom dude if I could have it when they eventually took it down... "you and a bunch of other guys" was his dismissive reply. I intently felt stupid for not realizing it would come-off like that.

I assume that she stole Pee Wee's bike and Chucky is just an accessory after the fact.

They did make a whole movie about it... it was called Chucky's Mothers Psychotic Adventure.
