Point Lobos - a small slice of heaven on earth!
I always make a point of stopping there every time I'm in the Carmel area.

Speaking of which, I'll be up there in a few weeks for some golf at Spanish Bay and Pebble Beach. Should hit Lobos and this little gem while I'm there...

Looks nice, but do they have a Krispy Kreme? :D

There was at least one video(Someone Like You) of him playing one of these 'cept it's black and has 1 less string.:smug:

Pretty sure he is playing a Hagstrom:

Yours looks like the bridge I could purchase from BaCH. Saddles already slotted and everything chromed. Apparently BaCH let a few out the door without slotting. I think @Nocturnal had one like mine.

Correct. The saddles on my Bach were not notched. And as crazy as it seems the bridge did not have the large bridge posts holding it in place. It had these instead:

I reached out to Rob (Bassvarken) and he helped me get the correct pieces. I never heard anyone else say their Bird had those studs either.

I was in Carmel in early June (killing time while our new dog was being fixed in Monterey) - it was pretty dead/quiet with only a few shops open. I was struck by how many art gallery's there were - every other building/space it seemed. Some pretty awful stuff priced pretty high. Everything there was overpriced - shopping villa for the 1%.

Could be. As usual, the bass player gets very little face/bass time

There's a little bunny who comes to visit my garden most mornings. Very timid, but seems to have gotten accustomed to me, so we stand there and look at each other.

Bunny's (wabbits) are yummy food treats for all critters (earthbound or flying) who eat other animals. It's why they are skittish/timid and why they reproduce so plentifully. (also why Jack-rabbits are so fast) If they weren't hard-wired to operate like that - they'd have been wiped-out decades (or longer) ago.

That it is.

The wife and I collect various types of art. Always interesting to see what's being showcased in each gallery. If I find something I really like, I normally contact the artist directly and work a good deal that way. Some will deal and some won't but usually I end up with what I consider a nice piece for a fraction of the price as shown in the gallery.

The real bummer for me was when Rumbleseat music in Carmel closed. I always made it a tradition to buy a bass every time I visited Carmel, unfortunately not any more. I guess I might have to run on up to Santa Cruz for that now.

Nope, not like my BaCH studs at all.

Yum!
Decided to go through the deep freezer in the garage this morning to see if there was anything that needed to be cooked before it got too old. Had to make due with three Filet Mignon steaks and a half dozen large Alaskan King Crab legs that weren't used last Valentine's Day due to some COVID panic cancellations last February. Not bad for a quick little unplanned meal, although some lobster tail would have been nice too.
