Not sure Hillerup, I bought it from Denmark street in London.... Probably paid a bit of a premium but it is in top condition, all original with pickup covers and played like a dream.Nice... Is that the one, that was on Ebay recently?

We are always happy to help. Now, when you need another one, we can help rationalize that, too. One is never enough. Just saying.
Well this forum definitely has a lot to answer for... Just placed the order for a black '76... Due to arrive Tuesday!!! Will obviously post pics when I can.... Obviously going to be a long wait over the weekend!
I tried to pace myself by not having more basses than the number of years I've been playing. Thanks for the continued support This is my 3rd T'bird in as many years... when I feel the itch for another I'll know where to come for a balanced and reasoned view
Thunderbirds are funny that way. They are not the default choice of the generic bass player, and it seems like they choose you as much as you choose them. Playing a Thunderbird is even quirkier than playing a Rickenbacker, although I think we are just as devoted to our 'Birds as Ric people are to their Rics. Maybe more. Thanks for the continued support This is my 3rd T'bird in as many years... when I feel the itch for another I'll know where to come for a balanced and reasoned view
I saw GnR in their first tour, something like 6 days after Jungle was released. Didn't even have the record yet and went to see em. TSOL opened, and both bands were fantastic that night. Fast forward a few years to the GnR/Metallica stadium tour. Metallica was really good, but GnR...they were a bloated caricature of what they used to be. Just a joke. Sloppy, and apparently too messed up to care.
I've been looking for sales figures for Chinese Democracy. They don't appear to exist. Must be a great feeling to waste 14 years making a record and then sell 12 copies.
I thought he kept them out in the desert along with all those Atari 2600 E.T. cartridges?!?I bet they're still paying the recording costs of that thing back. What they don't tell you is that Axl has 2.93 million copies of it in a warehouse in Reseda.
Post us a pic of your red beauty and I'll add you to the club roster if you like.![]()

Just jumping in here to throw this out: played the 2012 NR bird for the fourth rehearsal in a row and it's without a doubt my new #1. I wouldn't have believed it a year ago, but despite a touch of neck heaviness, it's a wonderfully beautiful bass in every sense. I friggin' love it.

Run away!! Run as fast as you can! This isn't a club! It's a CULT! Once they get their hooks in you, you'll never escape!
Read these quotes!!
See?!
Don't end up like me...
Before I got here, I didn't even like Thunderbirds. Now, when I'm not playing mine, I can't stop thinking about getting another one! (maybe an NR) I think of money in terms of how many 'Thunderbirds' it is! ("are you kidding me?? That thing costs almost THREE Thunderbirds!") I cant sleep! I can't focus at work! My wife left me! I want to build a 'Fenderbird'! I check this thread compulsively and all these people remorslessly fuel my affliction!
And I've only owned a Thunderbird for FIVE MONTHS!!
It's too late for me... But you still have a chance!
Hahahaha I've owned mine for over 8 years now, is also late for me
Oops... Didn't you just join this club?? Who on earth did I think I was talking to? I'm confused... I think I'll go lie down.
