...and you're both correct - China utilizes left hand drive cars and drives on the Right side of the road and Hong Kong utilizes right hand drive cars and drives on the left side of the road.

Right hand drive in red and left in blue...

Correct. They have that weird, but cool, cross under bridge between them to funnel vehicles to the location correct side

Oh. Well, when I was in HK in 67 they were on the left.
You mean London - East.
Ok, we have it but I’ve never watched it. No time between the various CSI’s & NCIS’s. :D

I should give it a try.
It seemed like it was on here forever. Lots of seasons. They were kinda mailing it in towards the end. It was one of my wife’s favorites; one of the few shows we watched together.

Yep, other than that one that was way underpriced on here in Boston a few weeks back, they’re getting steep and scarce. And used Epi bolt-ons are no longer the price leader once you add in the $100+ everyone seems to want for shipping. The game is changing, at least for now.
It even looks like the used bolt on Eppi TBird (not the pro or vp) has asking prices at nearly the same as new. Strange market.

VERY bad day financially for the family, forced to sell my VP :( (alot of my gear will have to hit the market I fear)

For Sale - Epiphone Thunderbird Vintage Pro w/ OHSC
So sorry to hear this, if I were in the market for another VP I'd ping you. Good news is, it appears to be a sellers market right now with very slim pickings and high asking prices. I'll pass your ad on to other potential buyers though.

Brought home my first T-bird today - an Epiphone Vintage Pro in black. Pulled it out of the box, no obvious problems. Tried to have a bang on it - strings are slacked off. Ok, no problem. Tuned it up, and the open E makes a truly godawful racket. 1st fret F note, too, and it feels a little goofy. All the other strings ring true with no excessive buzzing anywhere on the neck.

First thought is backbowed neck, so I check relief. I little straight for my taste, but no biggie. So I pull out my setup tools and go to town. I check everything, bridge height, nut height, neck relief, the whole works. The factory setup is surprisingly good, if a little low for my preference. At least it is clear that a setup was done.

Anyway, still buzzing. So I go over every little screw on this thing. Tighten everything - pickup mounting screws, pickguard, tuners, bridge, tailpiece, I checked every screw on this badboy. Still buzzing.

Now I'm starting to get a little worried. I pop the truss rod cover and make sure the nut is snug. Looks good, still buzzing.

Starting to panic now, if I'm being truthful. Then I remember the intonation way way out on the E string and all the other strings were ok. Lightbulb - I swapped out the E string for another one I had lying around, just as a test. Bingo!!!! Turns out I just had a broke-ass E string from the factory, everything is great now. So that's my whole afternoon and I haven't even plugged it in yet lol

I think having a Wiggle endorsing Thunderbirds is tipping everyone to how awesome they are.

I could be wrong; wouldn't be the first time I have misread the market.

I feel sorry for any potential used Gibson TBird buyers out there right now. The prices are creeping up pretty high. Seems like just a year or two ago you could take your pick of several in the $1200 bracket and occasionally even see some go up for sale in the sub $1000 bracket.

- The cheapest Gibby Bird for sale on Reverb located in the USA right now is listed at nearly $1700 with shipping.

- Guitar center doesn't even have any used Gibby TBirds in stock, they used to always have several to choose from.

- Even eBay is getting tight, with only one used one priced at about $1600.

- I didn't look at Sam Ash, MusicGoRound, Gbase, Talkbass or Craigslist but I suspect it's slim pickings there as well.
I'm sure happy I got my upgraded 06 for 1k. Money well spend. Said the owner of other fine Thunderbirds.
