No, it's facing the inside of my front door. I come in through the garage. So you're telling yourself to go away?
If I have solicitors, they see it.(if I open the door) I can just point.
ADDENDUM:No. IDK why not. It's somewhat worn looking but none of that.

I wonder if that's partly due to the shape? I'm having a hard time thinking of how to phrase it, but I wonder if the shape of a Thunderbird is somehow less in contact with the player's body/arms/hands in the same way that Fenders are? Of course, it could also be down to the quality of the finish, but I would imagine that both companies used similar finishes given the materials available at the time. I suppose part of it might also be that there are a LOT more Fenders to get worn.Nice!
Thank you for Checking in on fractured Friday.
That brings to mind, I don't think I ever recall seeing a vintage Thunderbird with player wear through large portions of the finish like is so common on many 1960's and older era fenders. I imagine they're out there but I just can't recall seeing any. @JIO has a cool long running picture thread on TB highlighting honest excessive player wear, might be something there.
No, but I might get one.Do you also have a "GET OFF MY LAWN" sign?
It’s like when Homer bought Marge a bowling ball for her birthday. With HIS name on it. And drilled out for HIS fingers. That worked out in the end. After a long detour where Marge almost had an affair with a charming French bowling instructor... but it worked out in the end (and resulted in one of my favorite Simpson’s lines ever: “Hey Homer, where are you going?” “I’m going to the parking lot with the woman I love, and I won’t be back for TEN MINUTES!”).
But that would take away the fun of yelling at those kids wearing their dungarees. No, but I might get one.
It's only for when he's not home or otherwise occupied. Gotta cover all bases. But that would take away the fun of yelling at those kids wearing their dungarees.
listening to that jungle music. But that would take away the fun of yelling at those kids wearing their dungarees.
The company’s instructions, information, videos are pretty good. I used their hardware. Used a good stud finder and measured, marked, remeasured etc. Attached to every stud and used the anchors in between each stud. It’s really solid, but I followed their instructions to the letter. There are posts on here of people who had problems, but they obviously didn’t follow the instructions.
I have 8 on the 4’ and I think it’s a bit crowded; I’ll stop at seven on each when done. I’d think 15 would be about the most I’d go with on an 8’ with the one in the middle flat like Noc’s Anniversary Tbird and the rest at 45 degrees. You can do more at 90 degrees using the longer brackets set at 90 degrees. It’s a good solution IMO.
Hummm. My wife was born in 64. I'm wondering if I can find and give her a '64 Thunderbird for her birthday…. I'm starting to feel bad about being the only one in the household who has one. That's just not fair. She should have her own Thunderbird from her birth year. I have a couple basses from her birth year, but she has nothing. What kind of husband am I?
Please let me know at what point this starts to sound convincing and I can use this. I am thinking this isn't going to work.
My dad always called it jungle music. He only listened to music played by 3 fingered gypsies.listening to that jungle music.
My '64 has the finish worn off for a small strip when the neck meets the body from a previous owner resting his thumb to play over the end of the fretboard. Apparently he didn't cut his thumb nail often or pressed really hard with the thumb. Other than that, no wear through any other places, not even some obvious edges.I wonder if that's partly due to the shape? Homer is above median. Who'da thunk it.
That sounds like a great plan and it was nice knowing you!
