Hanging around port towns again? The crabbing season has just started chez PillO. I attribute it to not enough daylight and the approach of Xmas.

The 45-105 set feels exquisite on the ‘15.I like the feel of the 45-105 set best, but I like the balance of the 50-105 set better. If I had a thin or weak neck bass where tension might be a concern I suppose I'd go with the lower tension set. Bottom line, both are great and not really all that different sound wise. I'd be very very hard pressed to tell the difference on a recording. It's more about the feel.
good pick lesson...
That blue Dano is one of my Unicorn basses. Marvelous. It's a (US made) '68 Coral Deluxe Bass. The same bass first appeared in the early 60's with a Danelectro badge. Coral bought Dano in '66 and then went under in late '68. Dano was later resurged in the 90's under different management. The Silvertone Hornet (also Dano related) was similar in a few ways.

Cause it’s cooler? Heads up - those Rosser bodies are all northern Ash, so fairly heavy. So I am dead set on doing a parts bass from a Rosser body and EMG t-bird passives. My only dilemma is whether to do the non-reversed T-bird or the Meteora. I guess the NRT would be a bit lighter. I do like the curves of the Meteora, but it also looks very "big in the waist." I strap my rig on higher side, so I might be playing with a T-Rex arm on the Meteora. Give me some more reasons why I should do the NRT.
Tawny Ports for me....Hanging around port towns again?
A friend bought her then husband lessons with Carol Kaye. He wouldn't listen, she kicked him out. I don't think there are many people who would successfully argue with Ms. Kaye. The humblest you’ll ever see him. That’s a great video.
as in, the nr t-bird is gonna be lighter?Cause it’s cooler? Heads up - those Rosser bodies are all northern Ash, so fairly heavy.
they get a refund?A friend bought her then husband lessons with Carol Kaye. He wouldn't listen, she kicked him out. I don't think there are many people who would successfully argue with Ms. Kaye.
Greco did....not as attractive imho..so apologies for the dumb question, but the lower horn on the tbird is noticably more pronounced than the top horn on the non reverse version..... given the endemic neck dive complaints, why didn't gibson ever do a 'reversed reversed' t bird with the upper horn sticking out farther than the lower one......basically a flipped tbird
My friend didn't mention it but I doubt it.they get a refund?
good question...was greco liscensed by gibby?
You mean like this..so apologies for the dumb question, but the lower horn on the tbird is noticably more pronounced than the top horn on the non reverse version..... given the endemic neck dive complaints, why didn't gibson ever do a 'reversed reversed' t bird with the upper horn sticking out farther than the lower one......basically a flipped tbird
Cool, yes, but with the controls ..on the bottom
Yeah seems to be the smaller of 2 bodies.as in, the nr t-bird is gonna be lighter?
Memory isn't my strong suit, and I'm down in Mesquite NV for a week or two so no access to my notes. I used 250 volume pots and a 500 tone pot with a .047 orange drop on my Thunderjazz (ash body). For my ThunderP (mahogany body), I'm going 250 volume pots, 500 tone and .022 cap.Can someone give me the link for China-buckers and which value pots and caps would be recommended? Thanks.
