Have @dukeorock make the offer. When that green one gets down to $150 and they clean the paint off the frets, I'll be interested all of a sudden. What do you figure the odds are?
No, but it might sound a bit like that. The center would be more grey than black. No red.Would that be a black center surrounded by brown with shades of red around the edges.![]()
Just down the hill from me. I haven't visited Mike & Mike, even though they seem to have Thunderbirds on a regular basis. There may be a reason I haven't walked down there yet...
both my centennial and 60’s are rwGen1 ('63-'65) fb's are rosewood. Not certain about later NR's or '70s Centennials but I think they are also RW. Old RW can get pretty dark visually.
Like this version? (From an episode of NCIS)We play that song, kinda in that style, kinda not.
I guess Gibson used ebony for the reissues until 2010 or 2012 or whenever they switched back to rosewood. The fretboards on the '91 and '01 are a very convincing fake if they are not ebony.

If true, even more so. I figured he meant ProBuckers. If they are Thunderbuckers it's a steal at that price ($165x2 PUs).I think an even better question is why you'd put Thunderbuckers in a VP and then sell it?
I’ll take your word for it.
Winter theme?
That ‘12 - ‘13 PB NR looks very nice. Still at least 1K overpriced IMO. But they’re not coming up very often.....so who knows. I love mine.So it appears that Gibson did ebony fb's on (for sure) '95, and possibly on '96, and '97 models. (still not confirmed - sellers can state incorrect information)

$2500 for the NR?! I wonder if I can get $10k for my 2013 lefty. And I think all the NR reissues are 2013s. Some made in 2012, maybe, but I think all the 2013 model year, no?So it appears that Gibson did ebony fb's on (for sure) '95, and possibly on '96, and '97 models.
