No, but it might sound a bit like that. The center would be more grey than black. No red.

Gen1 ('63-'65) fb's are rosewood. Not certain about later NR's or '70s Centennials but I think they are also RW. Old RW can get pretty dark visually.

I guess Gibson used ebony for the reissues until 2010 or 2012 or whenever they switched back to rosewood. The fretboards on the '91 and '01 are a very convincing fake if they are not ebony.

As suspected. I think any T-bird with an ebony fb is going to be a special model, as the '95 is. Would need confirmation from an owner/Gibson source on the '10 or '12.

If true, even more so. I figured he meant ProBuckers. If they are Thunderbuckers it's a steal at that price ($165x2 PUs).

That ‘12 - ‘13 PB NR looks very nice. Still at least 1K overpriced IMO. But they’re not coming up very often.....so who knows. I love mine.

$2500 for the NR?! I wonder if I can get $10k for my 2013 lefty. And I think all the NR reissues are 2013s. Some made in 2012, maybe, but I think all the 2013 model year, no?
