Update on the new rig. Sorry it took so long to get back. Busy night and then work today got in the way of fun. The tt800 is as advertised. A veritable tone machine that can do Vintage tube to clear modern and pretty much everything in between. I love it. And it gets freaking loud. Pretty sure I could break some things without a lot of effort. But it can do low volume too. It’ll be a few weeks before I understand all it can do. Little hiccup with the cab; there’s bit of buzz in one of the drivers or the tweeter. SW is working with me to get it sorted and I’m not worried about it. Anyway, here is a pic after I got it set up:It’ll likely be 1.5 is my guess.

Thank you. It was a long time coming. Glad I pulled the trigger. Oh, and my handy dandy input jack tool magically appeared today. I found it where I keep my picks. I really need to spend more time working on my pick technique.Absolutely stunning! And it looks good too! Now I want one.
Thanks Brian.Congrats! Awesome pic!

They have started some domestic production, there's now USA made Casinos.
Thanks man! I found some tracks from my heavy band, so I’m reworking some of them.I like it!
I use right angle through the strap whether front or side. For those with a front jack (ahem), any huge preference between a straight or right-angle cable?

)Ah. That would make running the cable under the non existent strap difficult. or something like thatSame, except on non-Thunderbirds where the angle won't work (also, I almost never use a strap.... I should probably practice more standing up)

Thanks to both of you. Funny, I can't play well sitting down. I always play standing.Same, except on non-Thunderbirds where the angle won't work (also, I almost never use a strap.... I should probably practice more standing up)
Because of where the front jack is on my 67 NR 'Bird, I've always preferred the right angle. I had some right angle adapters from Radio Shack before cables w/ a 90 degree plug became common. I think you can still get them from Hosa(?).Thanks to both of you. Funny, I can't play well sitting down. I always play standing.
This question was mostly about the RNR. I think a straight plug looks cooler in a front jack, but right angle seems safer and more practical. And that's all I use with side-jack basses, which is all the others I own.
Yeah, I have one of those adapters for use at home going into my pedal board. Makes things a lot cleaner.Because of where the front jack is on my 67 NR 'Bird, I've always preferred the right angle. I play equally so-so standing or sitting. Thanks to both of you. Funny, I can't play well sitting down. I always play standing.

Angled on both ends? What cables? My cables are mostly angled. I do have 1 or 2 straight. Like the coolness factor of those, but since I'm kinda klutzy, the angles just seem safer![]()
