Thunderbird Club

My LCG is finally complete with Brads conversion neck . This bass is now perfectly balanced and a mean rock machine .
I dyed the body and topped it off with Watco Danish oil . Has a Neo Punch p for a strong punchy and clear voice.

It's been fun watching this one come together over time.

:)

@fretno Is the body tint darker or more red than it was originally, or is it just a change in lighting?
may I ask how much he takes for a Body? in a personal message if you prefer not to post the Price openly
Here's a link to the ad in the TalkBass Bazaar.

Probably best to continue the conversation there, or via PM.

Thanks!

Thanks for popping in. Now I know where to go when it's time to build a reverse Fenderbird with a P pickup.

Thanks @Gaolee!

It's a very niche market, for sure.

;)
Well, I get along best with Thunderbirds from an ergonomic standpoint, but sometimes you just want a thumping Precision sound that only comes from a P pickup. An ash or alder body and a 7ender neck finish the job. Using inserts means I can put the strap button at the heel of the neck where it belongs on any Thunderbird.

Some of us are just a little odd like that. Clothes don't fit me right, either.

I agree wholeheartedly  My Epi NR's are basically a 7ender in T-Bird clothing with an alder body and maple bolt-on neck. My Warmoth Bird has a mahogany body and maple bolt-on neck but still gives me that P punch that I enjoy (although now it does it with Dimarzio pickups instead of EMG).

That's an absolute knockout right there.

What's up with all the 'Bird love happening in the general population for the last few days, anyway? Are we leaking out? Is this just an anomaly or are we infecting the general population with truth, wisdom, and all that? I'm a little concerned that the rest of the world might figure out what we already know and make us normal somehow. That would be bad.

I had an interesting question posed to me last weekend by some friends who aren't in bands: if you could play any venue, what would it be? I had two answers, because it depends how one defines it, whether headliner or support. They were cool with two answers, so mine were 1. direct support to the headliner on the main stage at Download Festival, and 2. Red Rocks Amphitheater.

So where would your ultimate venue(s) be?
