His mother?It's similar, but bigger and fuller. I still haven't quite got the P sound out of a 'Bird, so that's going to be the next bass guitar - a P-bird. The parts and pieces should be here in a few months, and then it will take me a few more months to get my thumbs out and actually build it. But, it will happen. Flats, but no tort. It's a Thunderbird, fer chrissakes! You don't let a spaghetti puke pickguard anywhere near a Thunderbird.
I don't get the Pokemon thing, but then I don't spend all that much time using the phone for anything except a telephone. My son is the same way, so at least I was able to pass on at least one of the correct genetic defects. He's a trumpet player, not a bass player, so I failed there, but at least he has a Thunderbird if he ever decides to play bass. Any guesses where it came from?

Anyway, I find I pretty much don't need a pure P-bass sound. T-bird in series mode, or Rickenbacker on the bridge pickup only is close enough and sounds better, in my opinion.
