It's not the cold in Dallas, even though it has gotten to single digits and remained there. It is no power for multiple hours and even days all across Texas. So far over 30 people have died due to it. And many more deaths are expected, once they can be discovered. My brother in Dallas was sleeping in his bedroom which was in low 40s inside. He is in his late 60s and has a heart condition. No power, no heat, no cooking for 2 days. Remember probably 75% of all homes, condos, and apartments are all electric in Texas.
Also no water, since all the pipes are breaking. My keys player in Lumberton, TX right out side of Beaumont, had pipes in walls and ceiling break while he was working nights. Water ran into his home for over 10 hrs. Ruining ceilings and walls and lots of other things. Some folks had temperatures inside there homes drop to below freezing for hours, some even days. Lots of folks are having real hard times in Texas.
