Which reminds of a similar story:
Back in the "Paleozoic Era" I bought a Vintage Boyrd on FeeBay and it had an "added premium'" attached to it, in this case it was a piece signed by one of the "Judd Sisters" and had a autographed photo of Them to go with it, now I saw absolutely no relevance or added value to this whatsoever LoL I just thought it was a Dang Cool Boyrd!!
So I acquired it but unfortunately had to flip it soon to raise funds for a DUI lawyer OUCH!! But it was a nice visit and I passed along the "added value" to the next guy (and in this case I'm not going to say "fool" cuz TBirds don't find "fools" now do they!?) At least with the Piece that was in "Johnny's Collection" there was some relevance being he was known for playing a Firebird and all!! It would be interesting to know if anyone out in TB Land has seen or heard of the "Judd Bird" :rolleyes:

The 3 colors for the new NR TB are Inverness Green, Pelham Blue and Sparkling Burgundy.
If they offered Smoked Almond, that would be my 1st choice.
I often drool over the Gibson Thunderbird chapter in "Geddy Lee's Big Beautiful Book of Bass", especially when looking at the gold ones.
Talk about an amazing bass collection! His Thunderbird collection alone is enough to melt my brain...

Dale Carpenter from Gore, Ohio appears to have been the first owner. I guess he didn't keep it long, because then his name was replaced by Dave Lehnert. If it's a '67, I wonder what the significance of the 1966 note on the back of the control cover is. There's a lot of non-information about that one, but it sure appears to have had an interesting life.

I got my '64 P from the previous owner Teddy Gentry (Alabama), who was selling a few basses. I didn't pay any more that it was worth at the time. It's a cool story that he owned it, but not being a country fan, it had no extra value for me personally. I like some of their music and that they were a unique band for the time, but I like the bass more.
