Yep - most players removed them or at least took the felt pads off. I have the original covers, black plastic spacers, pg, nut, control cavity cover, finger rest, strap pegs and OHSC from my '64 also.

FWIW, the brass plate is still on the 67. The felt pads rotted off years ago. I have a piece of felt loosely laying between the plate and the strings, easily removable whenever. Just 'cos I felt like it.

I still own and occasionally play guitar. Many of us here do. I think we just get so used to seeing someone with a certain instrument we assume that's all they play- whether that is a very specific guitar, or just guitar in general. Sometimes it's true.

Used to have an Ashdown combo (MAG 210 - 300 Evo II). Loved the sound, hated the form factor. Nearly an 80 pound combo that sits a tad lower than a 410 cab and about as wide and deep as a 410 with handles on each side. Back torque monster when lifting and knuckle buster when carrying through doorways and down narrow halls, then minimal visual stage presence when set in place. A torn rotator cuff made it a no brainer to get rid of. Gorgeous sound though.

Used to have an Ashdown combo (MAG 210 - 300 Evo II). Loved the sound, hated the form factor. Nearly an 80 pound combo that sits a tad lower than a 410 cab and about as wide and deep as a 410 with handles on each side. Back torque monster when lifting and knuckle buster when carrying through doorways and down narrow halls, then minimal visual stage presence when set in place. A torn rotator cuff made it a no brainer to get rid of. Gorgeous sound though.

All my gigs these days are 1 niters, load in/load out in a bit of a rush. Light weight and decent+ sound are what matter to this olde phart. I guess I was seriously spoiled by the 6 nite a week gigs I had 'back in the day'. Oh, well, [stuff] happens. and fer a helluva lot less pay

yeah, I bought a brand new SWR Redhead (2X10 combo) that I traded a month later for the same reason....sure sounded good though...

Yeah, I was gonna shoot a pic, but she's still at the shop for a few more days. They're the only good shop in the area so there's a bit of a wait. No BFD. Though I did pick up a gig for Monday but I'll prolly take the EB-0 backup bass.
