Is that a mudbucker in the Ric?
You may be seeing the plexiglass tug bar, and thinking it’s a mudbucker.

Is that a mudbucker in the Ric?
I Can’t wait to see it!Wheels set in motion for the Pelham Blue Epi VP refinish project!
Stay tuned...
I've tried to talk our drummer into getting a cocktail kit 'cos some our band spaces are really tight. Answer? Nope.My wife wants a cocktail kit for her birthday. Thinking about getting her a nice one, and borrowing it from time to time for use with the acoustic trio...
But is it available in burgundy metallic mist?
..one of our drummers has three kits, standard, cocktail and full electronic .....sings solo as well....busy guy..I've tried to talk our drummer into getting a cocktail kit 'cos some our band spaces are really tight. Answer? Nope.
ZeroMod makes a thumbrest that screws in to the 2 holes in the top(E side) of the pup. Prolly gonna get one. Never saw a need for a tug bar which is why the new PG for the TBird isn't drilled for one. I still have the original PG and tug bar, but I'm not gonna put either back on the NR.So what pops up on local CL? A finger rest for a late 60’s EBO.
I used to wonder what that extra hole was for.
Whadaya think @GonePlaid ?
Now I need to find or make a correct looking tugbar.

Good eye. Certainly doesn't seem like a Ric PU.Is that a mudbucker in the Ric?

OH NO! Somebody chopped Mickey's ears off!
Yeah. A Sixx should look modern and mean. Not vintage. Did he replace the pickups? If so with what? Or just peel the stock covers and put them in chrome covers?Where are you guys getting your custom pickguards? I picked Nikki Red up last year, and I'm considering swapping the guard out for something different. On another note, the previous owner chromed it out, and I really wish he hadn't. I'm not loving the chrome. If it weren't for having the pup ring screw holes, I'd love to take it back stock.
I’m hoping they have more RWAR down low. Not that there’s anything not to like about the VP Pups.Fantastic question. I'm thinking they should also do videos!
Also interested in how the new NR PUs sound compared to the ProBuckers in the VPs. I can't help but wonder how much Gibson considered those or something very close considering the praise they receive. Oh, and they sound awfully close to vintage to begin with.
Stellar! The PB looks to be in nice shape. Enjoy the heck out of it.Here’s the Pelham blue I got yesterday. Plus I picked up a sunburst along the way for a song. It’s a little beat up. And of course my Metallic Red.
The VP and the CP are still at the luthier.
