I don’t need a thumb rest. If I anchor my thumb, I use the mudbucker or edge of the fingerboard.

@rtslinger got one awhile ago and posted some vids. He usually hangs out in the gig report thread. You might give him a holler now that he’s had it awhile.
If you go back to black pickups, you can put black pickup rings on. I did that on my 2013 with stock TB+ pickups and think it looks great. I got mine with adhesive on the back so I didn't have to drill holes. Works great. Dave here was great to work with.
Annoying. But easy enough to replace if a little Deoxit doesn’t cure it.

My ebony VP is my favorite player, but she is so dark that she disappears on stage, other than a white pickguard, so it seemed like a perfect solution...
Dropped her off at Chicago Fret Works this morning, and picked up a nice t-shirt while I was there. They’re busy and a bit backed up as things slowly begin to open, so 4-6 weeks...
