And to celebrate Thunderbird Thursday - here's the bass I'll be playing on May 29th at Winters Beer Garden with TSC's -
...ok, so not strictly a T-bird, but it has an Epi Goth T-bird neck ok? And it 'cuts through the mix', 'plays like butter', 'kills' ... yah, it rocks.

2 songs from our set-list played/recorded on the Teiscobird -
If I had that many songs crammed into my head, I might forget something else. Like how to drive.Because of our 'typical' crowd, we start off with a set list which lasts about 3 to 4 songs and promptly goes off the rails as we play to the wants/requests. No BFD, we have ~200 songs we can do. Whatever.
Greasy and critical to French cooking?I'm always amused by 'plays like butter'. ??? Sticky and quickly rancid? Ahhh, nope.
Excuse my ignorance, but who is this man ?
A rare picture of Suzi Quattro without her leather jumpsuit and padded bra...

Congrats on the gig. Nothing like playing out someplace. People that I've never done it obviously don't get it but nothing quite replicate it.
Really liked the bass tone on Insane Asylum. What were you playing and with what strings and through what? Sounded really great.
a couple of bar owners I was talking to were saying they have to pay their live music licenses (I believe they include some sort of royalties) and they can’t amortize the expenditure unless they fill their bars....because that wasn’t happening they sh1tcanned live music all together till this whole thing goes away....kinda sucks...the state of CA making it harder for live music...One more mention of the way we do things. The places we play, it is expected that we play for the crowd, not do a show. We keep butts in the seats, dancers on the floor, and money in the till. And once things calm down a bit more, we get/got return bookings.
The part that sucks is that our season just ended. Many of the places that use live music go on a reduced schedule from slightly after Easter to ~mid October as the snowbirds fly north. We have a few gigs on the books, but nothing's gonna replace the 65 already booked gigs we lost to the shutdown last year. At reduced occupancy, places couldn't make enuff $ to pay staff let alone musicians.
It's a new "normal".(sigh)
awesome, we’ll see you there! looking forward to it.....we’re doing 5 to 9 on the Sunday (30th) at Henflings if you’re not doing anything....4pm - fingers are crossed that it will be a 'nice' day on the weekend launching summer. ("summer" in Pacifica is generally foggy~) 3pm band (Surf Monster) is good also - instrumental left-handed guitarist surf/rockabilly trio.

Hah! Lazy print designers?I just went and blew it up even closer and I think you're right, Ken. It is the straight line Epi version! Bastids!
