tomorrow I will be getting some flats, should I be worried about the size, I know there are XL strings, and since this thing is huge is that needed?? or a regular rotosound of Ernie fits with no problem ??

you think they are gonna rebuild in Surfside? remember when there was nothing for miles on that key?..Nah. We'll get a little more rain and some wind. To a native Floridian, a mild inconvenience.
The only thing to watch out for re strings is some have had problems with heavier gauge E strings and running out of travel on the saddle to intonate. It really isn't a problem with most 45 to 105 sets and lighter.thank you for your answer
Well, oceanfront real estate being as high dollar as it is, prolly. Maybe next time do something to curtail salt water intrusion? Just sayin'.you think they are gonna rebuild in Surfside? remember when there was nothing for miles on that key?..

Oh, go ahead and tell us what you're thinking!Uh oh. String quest.
I speak not of the ever so passionate topic.
Rotos (rounds or flats) will work fine as will EB Cobalts.tomorrow I will be getting some flats, should I be worried about the size, I know there are XL strings, and since this thing is huge is that needed?? or a regular rotosound of Ernie fits with no problem ??

I put standard length DR stainless rounds on my VP, and when those wear out, I'll probably go with EB Cobalt Flats. I overtrimmed the D and G strings, but they are still plenty long enough.tomorrow I will be getting some flats, should I be worried about the size, I know there are XL strings, and since this thing is huge is that needed?? or a regular rotosound of Ernie fits with no problem ??
One of your relatives was the previous owner of my VP. The metal parts have a lovely patina that a non-Chechen alien life form cannot hope to cause.
