As much as I love Ampeg--some things I don't care for and the most of their 410 are on the don't care for list. My Heritage 410 is a completely different animal.

I've never met an Ampeg product I really liked. Fine at best.

I'm not aware of any audio or video yet, but I'll update if and when I know of any.

Same thing we’re having at the GBass house. Frozen margaritas at cocktail hour, followed by chips and home made salsa as an appetizer, then the main course of grilled Santa Maria style Tri-tip with a side of refried beans covered in jalapeño cheese and a side of Mexican rice. Grilled peaches over French vanilla ice cream drizzled in amaretto for dessert and a warm tawny port or Kentucky bourbon on the rocks afterwards while we settle down for a movie.

Any suggestions on a good movie to watch on the 4th? I’m not big on musicals, so Yankee Doodle Dandy is out. The wife isn’t keen on sci-fi, so Independence Day is out. Just saw Blazing Saddles on TV last night. Maybe a WWII flick or a Epic like Gone With the Wind. Open to suggestions.

Amazing. Of all the animals hiding because of the fireworks, our cat, traditionally the sweetest, most timid cat, is just hanging out on the couch and eating.

I haven’t met a cat or dog yet that could tolerate Fireworks.

Our daughter and her boyfriend came over for a cookout and brought their two dogs. The black lab isn't bothered by fireworks in the least, but the Whippet mix is usually terrified of them. Apparently our new neighborhood is firework central and we had over an hour of non-stop explosions. Zulu handled it well and just curled up under a table until the noise stopped, while Vader stood outside watching the show.

The drive through northern San Antonio tonight coming home provided lots of fireworks - pro and otherwise - in full surround.

Once home, we went to check on our neighbor’s cat for them (they were out of town tonight). Our neighborhood gets plenty of big dollar fireworks. Anastasia was totally chill, completely unfazed.

It was crazy around here. When we moved we moved more towards town as opposed to the edge of the county. We've got a forest on one side and golf course and park behind us and a two small streets down and a cross from us. I don't know where is it was all coming from but it was everywhere for almost 3 hrs nonstop. Even with all that I never saw one thing in the sky. I thought our old neighborhood was bad. I could have taken some pistols or even shotguns and fired them and no one would have noticed or cared.

Congrats! You have a wonderful bass! The bursts are great. Almost every one I've seen looked good. I love mine. And flats do sound great on a Thunderbird.

Carlos, congratulations on your first Tbird, she’s a beauty and I’m sure she sounds every bit as good as she looks!
You’re in for a treat with the flats on that VP, cobalt flats sounded fantastic on mine.

It was crazy around here. When we moved we moved more towards town as opposed to the edge of the county. We've got a forest on one side and golf course and park behind us and a two small streets down and a cross from us. I don't know where is it was all coming from but it was everywhere for almost 3 hrs nonstop. Even with all that I never saw one thing in the sky. I thought our old neighborhood was bad. I could have taken some pistols or even shotguns and fired them and no one would have noticed or cared.

We live by the city amphitheater and park where they put on a big show. 45 minutes. It's like they were using last year's fireworks and this year's at the same time. Then the illegal stuff continued for a couple more hours. Only our youngest dog, Izzy, went nuts. The other two pretty much slept through them. I expect the little one will sleep most of the day.

I always appreciated the revolutionary aspect and have had my daughter watch it several times (and we both parrot the line "the people shouldn't fear the government, the government should fear the people"). I am raising her to have a healthy disrespect for authority and to question the motives of every organization (and especially government).
