How would I know? It's summer, no one cares about hockey! There is baseball with the Buffalo Blue Jays and we are looking forward to the CFL season being cancelled.

Aaaah mon ami.... you'd hate living around here, hockey is a 12-month thing, for good or bad .

As for the CFL, I enjoy a good game but this year, we have a special reason to root for a season, my daughter's boyfriend got drafted by the Als and is trying out as defensive end, all 6'5 and 250 lbs of him. Competition at camp is ferocious, she tells me. And he's always hungry. They're probably going for the old Roman Legion tactics by feeding'em crap sparsely...

Drafted by the Als is good! As a kid, I used to go watch the Argos training camp at St. Andrews College.

I also worked with the top Parkinson's neurologist in the world - C Warren Olanow - who also played several games for the Argos...

Grafton is east of Toronto, whereas I am west of Toronto.

Nope. People from both genders like hockey, so it simplifies certain things if you find the right partner(s). But I think (and this is very personal) that more guys like Thunderbirds, with a few notable and graceful exceptions, of course.

Speaking of them, tried a white VP today on my lunch hour. Still holding off for an ebony Gibson, but that VP tone is absolutely fantastic. I totally understand the love they're getting.

2 and 3 are somewhat similar and have a bigger sound, at least on my Bose home speakers. In a mix it could be a whole different matter. Found 4 to be the least interesting.

I found 2 and 3 somewhat similar (the differences are cool, and don't IMO favor either). I liked 4 next, and found 1 a bit meh.

Nobody in my family was/is a musician on either side of the family. Including me, but I give it a go. Maybe they knew their limitations and I ignore mine. Music to my family seems to have been what you observe, if you so desire. Other people do it.

There are places where "A [person's] gotta know [their] limitations" but that's not how you get better at playing. So keep it up!
