lucky find, the darn things are so long!
Longer than the 60’s…

The only case I found was a Coffin Case that was made for large/odd shaped basses. I believe Gone Plaid has the same case these days. When I sold the Bach the guy didn't want the case. He said it was too cheesy and he just couldn't "do it". The smart thing for him would have been to take the case to make sure nothing happened to the bass on the way home, then flip the case to make a few bucks.

I’m guessing it’s had a neck/headstock refinish to hide a repair. Don’t they usually have Klusons?

A very rare Veronica Tribute Tbird (one of approximately 3 in existence so far) shown here with an anniversary bird made the same year I was inducted into this fine club by her Majesty.

Pretty sure there were at least four, I can’t remember who it was who made the first post or find his post that started it (IIRC, he may have switched back to white later on ? was it @FlyingPigSound?) You emailed the seller, confirmed availability and @Gaolee and I got them. The Shallow me really loves the look.

It's funny I really do think we all should play any, and every bass that we love regardless of who makes it. Threads like that just reek of insecurity about choices and oneself, I am by no means a gifted player but I can say I've never been so insecure about my equipment choices that I had to post a thread like that.

I read a few posts and lost interest. Whatever inspires your playing is the instrument you should use.
If you’re a studio player, you should have some standard tools, but otherwise, it play what puts a smile on your face!

I didn't read any of it-maybe later, getting ready for a gig-but I'll say this(again). For many years I had one bass, the 67 NR 'Bird. That's what I brought, that's what I played. Never had a complaint. If someone really wanted me to play something else, they coulda furnished it. And if I wasn't comfortable playing "it", my playing would suffer. If that's what they want...

You could probably change the "Gibson Thunderbird" part to "any TSO" and it'd likely still be true for most of us here

Yep. I love and regularly play my humble MIM P Bass strung with now five year old chromes in the rotation. I like to be comfortable playing the songs I learn on multiple basses. I have fun doing that. In the shed with it today.

when I got mine it came with no case so I reached out to BaCH (Roman) and he told me they had a HSC for these NRs but that they had discontinued them and had the gig bag (which is superb) instead, so I got that.
Would love to see what those cases look like…

I couldn't take the rounds any more and went ahead and put on a set of TI flats (what I use on all my basses). Here's a quick video trying to show the tone difference between the rounds in my previous video.
I also screwed down the pickups just a little because they were pretty high before and had lots of wiggle being a bit loose. So the output isn't quite as high as previously.
