Thunderbird Club

Alrighty, it's here! First, I gotta say, I am impressed with the case. Nicer than my previous cases too and definitely seems smaller than my gigantic previous TBird cases. This one is great. The bass looks great. Neck is definitely chunkier than my previous reverses, but also not too fat. Feels like a really nice medium profile. Not too far off from my old Money Bass, but it's really its own thing. All the colors look fantastic, but I'm really glad I went with this Sparkling Burgundy, it looks FANTASTIC in my opinion!

Some pics for now!

That Burgundy looks great! I think I'm sold.

That Red! Damn!

Enjoy that bass, love that Subie too!

Thanks very much! In my opinion, it looks much better in person than the promo pics, which already looked good! Your green one is stunning too, truly beautiful.

Ha, I love that Subaru too, but it's not mine. However, now that you mention it, this bass matches my Mazda's red almost perfectly!

I didn't want an NR, but...

That's a knockout!

I have Inverness on order, I'm wondering if I shouldn't reserve a burgundy…

I will only buy one but I really would be happy with either color.

I waiting on an Inverness, but Gibson asked if I was open to other color options to get one sooner. After those pics, I'd jump a the burgundy NR in a heartbeat!

The Burgundy is killer! But so is the Inverness! Any clue when your Inverness should be available, roughly? The Pelham is the only one I haven't seen any real good customer pics of yet. Looking forward to seeing some eventually!

I was just told "probably September."

Well shoot! That might have been the first Ric I would have liked. Probably better to not know.

The show was a blast. Pros who have played together for a long time can even make clams groove and sound good. Also good- bass was up front and center where it belongs.

You weren't kidding about the stage. Good thing you all like each other.

I have had other Pelham stuffs, it's a decent color, but it has been overused as of late.

I absolutely hate Gibson's usual cherry red, but the burgundy is in an entirely different class.

Since they are specifically calling the Pelham on the new NR "faded", I'm interested to see how it looks compared to "standard" Pelham. I like the standard cherry, but I feel you! The Burgundy is really in its own class.

I used to have a Rickenbacker 4003 in their Ruby finish, which I loved the look of but just couldn't bond with a Ric personally. Actually, I had two Ruby ones, so even after retrying I still couldn't get with them. :roflmao: That red looked great though and I still think about it for its striking visual. That being said though, to me, the Sparkling Burgundy on this bird tops that Ric Ruby, it's even nicer! Gibson really knocked it out of the park with this. Not just looks wise, but feel and quality too.

The Sparkling Burgundy also looks fabulous on the current SG Specials.
