Not sure about that. The 2013s probably sold well but there hasn't been a Pelham Blue Reverse from Gibson.
So far as I know, there hasn't been a non-black solid finish reverse from Gibson since the '90s sometime when they stopped making white ones. Black and white are all fine and good, but they don't call like sparkly shiny colors do.

I'm weird(Breaking news-not!), but I like bursts and solid black, but the sparkling burgundy-Epi(Embassy) or Gibson-is stunning.

Good point. Wishful thinking on my part, but I do think there is a greater chance of it happening under the current management rather than the previous.

I posted up on Gibson's FB page two weeks ago that they ought to take the NR colors and hardware and apply them to the Reverse............. One can hope.

Alrighty, it's here! First, I gotta say, I am impressed with the case. Nicer than my previous cases too and definitely seems smaller than my gigantic previous TBird cases. This one is great. The bass looks great. Neck is definitely chunkier than my previous reverses, but also not too fat. Feels like a really nice medium profile. Not too far off from my old Money Bass, but it's really its own thing. All the colors look fantastic, but I'm really glad I went with this Sparkling Burgundy, it looks FANTASTIC in my opinion!

Some pics for now!

That looks great, a real nice Candy Apple Red.

This is Sparkling Burgundy to me

Thanks! Yeah, like in those pics, it can be quite Candy Apple Red! In other light, I have noticed/experienced, it can look much more burgundy-ish.

We crackin' that bottle open?

It looks similar to how my Red Epi 'bird looks in the sunlight. Totally different than in artificial light. Changes shade a lot depending on the light source.

Not sure I really need to say it, but I'm gonna anyways: your new basd looks awesome!

For sure, all about the lighting. Your Epi is beautiful! I had never even seen that color on an Epiphone Bird before.

Thank you very much! Is your nothing-but-the-wood bird still on track to be delivered Friday?

It's a pretty uncommon color, that's one of the reasons I jumped on it (just had to convince the seller to ship it), even though it's a second.

According to UPS, still due Friday. Wouldn't be surprised if it gets delayed, the last year so that happens sometimes :meh:

When my Gibson rep asked for my preferred color on the new NR's, I listed in order
Inverness
Pelham
Burgundy

After seeing @Tanner5382 's bass, I'd personally be giddy with any of the colors on offer.
Agree with many that a new reverse would be cool in those colors as well.
There's a chance I may be able to do a custom shop bass from them at some point. If so, it'll be a single pickup reverse :)

I just got my Epiphone VP in july, and it become my main bass, both for live and studio, the fun fact is that is sounds better than my 3 MIA 7ender P basses and any of my MM basses.
Today I thought about getting another one, in white. My shock is when I see that they are no longer at sale in Europe, they keep the Sunburst and the black one, but the white...
Is this really bad news, maybe the end of that one, or probably the introduction of new colours just like they made with the Jack Casady ???

Anyway, I AM WORRIED !!!

Thanks so much! I'm glad you like it! I hope that day DOES come for you, whatever color you choose. These are very killer. Not tooting my own horn whatsoever, but Gibson should have really included some shots like mine in their promo pics! I definitely feel like the Burgundy got the least amount of attention, and looks way darker or murkier or dare I say blander in their pictures.

I am submitting my resume now to be their iPhone photographer. ;)
The pics I've seen are somewhat muted and not crisp. But I haven't looked a lot because looking often begets spending.

The Gibson photos all paled in comparison to reality. I don't get why they do that stuff.
I still think we should mount a hostile takeover of Epi or Gibson. It's way too easy to second guess decisions you don't have to make,* but I am pretty confident everyone here could work together to come up with some better decisions than Gibson. Think how many years ago the NR would have been out by now and VPs in all kinds of amazing colors.

*It's easy to give advice when you're not the one that's going to pay the price. (D. Betts)

Yep! Happens almost every time!

Congrats on the VP. Fantastic basses. Incredible vintage Thunderbird sound at a fraction of the cost of vintage.
