Does anybody know if Eppi ever put out a stock Tbird with a chrome three point and chrome tuners? Seems to me they’ve all been black hardware.

Silver burst Epi's have chrome bits.

I gotta admit, playing a Greco does feel very very good. One of these days I’m gonna light up a cigarette after playing.

Every now and then the notion of a Cig and a couple of fingers of good Single Malt Scotch crosses my mind - Happily, I never cave in to the Cig, the Scotch on hand...

I probably will, the bass is most likely going to be a solid custom color. The top isn't quarter sawn and there is some damage on the back that will require filler.

That almost lightning bolt pattern looks really cool.

love how you added that bridge cover and string through the claw….that is probably as close as it gets to the feel and overall look of a 64 imho…

I got those from Scott @godofthunder59 they really do give it the look of a '64 - Love it!

It's interesting because some had black knobs. They usually followed the Gibson tradition of gold knobs used on gold-top and brown-burst finished guitars/basses, and black knobs on colored basses and trans-cherry finishes. But... there are examples that do not follow that reasoning.

Very cool color indeed. While not a 60s color of course, I'd love to see a TBird finished in this rare Holly Green that Gibson used on some 80s guitar models. Love this color with chrome hardware. Would suit a Bird nicely, imo.

I had strong dreams in high school of putting together a hunter or forest green Warmoth Flying V bass, back when they still offered that bass body style. I wanted dark green with a black pickguard and chrome hardware. Ebony or dark rosewood board. Alas, I never made such a thing happen. Ergonomically, though, that's probably for the best.

So, the Flamingo gets knobs and Gibson logo in gold, but other colors everywhere else. White pickguard and black TRC never quite made sense to me, but that's another one that doesn't make sense but works just fine.

The gold "Gibson" on my '64 trc bleached white over time - I tried to capture the faint edges of leftover gold but the camera keeps focusing on the strings. So the only thing gold now is the knobs. The original black trc was black to disappear against the black hs face.
