Yes, I took out one of the p/ups and filled the hole. Re-routed the wiring, set of reverse wind resolites and a bridge cover.
Just waiting on a pickup cover/ hand rest.
Just can't justify the money to buy a real II these days.

Like you, I like the bridge PU. I definitely wouldn't want an all or nothing switch. A blend pot would be OK, but not a switch.

That guy in the thread you posted had one of the pickguard makers make them. Turned out looking really good.

Hmm, I was thinking covers (going over the pickups), not rings (requiring more holes be drilled), but if I decide these are permanent, then I'll refinish in "Graphite Pearl" (small holoflake on black, one of the finishes offered on the 2014 Les Paul Studio), and the rings go on.
